PURPOSE

This assignment is intended to help you learn to do the following:

• Plan and organize a report from a manager’s point of view.
• Analyze what leads managers in an organization to succeed or fail.

OVERVIEW

Over the length of the course, you will complete a 5- to 7-page report where you analyze a company or organization’s strategic errors or successes. You will complete this paper as a polished report you could submit to a leadership team. You will also create a presentation based on your analysis during the last module of the course.

ACTION ITEMS

1. Add to the report you created in Module 1:
   1. Find 2 examples in your organization of managers’ significant strategic failures or significant strategic successes.
   2. In a few paragraphs, describe who the players were and how the failure or success played out.
2. Then, using the reading from the course so far, in 1 additional page in your report, answer this primary question:
   1. What concepts discussed in the text contributed to the failures or successes?
3. By the due date indicated, submit your assignment.
   1. Note that you’ll be adding to the report every module, so keep a copy of it you can add to.
