1. Create a radio news story! You can report/convey/advocate/introduce something happening in OUR REGION (Haida to Houston). Write within 300-400 words on any topic of your interest. Research your topic well. It can be on anything: SeaFest, housing, wildlife, international students, jobs, music festival, and the like.  

It will be marked using the following criteria: clarity, accuracy of facts, the degree to which it is relevant to the audience, the degree to which a topic is contemporary or current, and the degree to which a topic is interesting and important to the audience.
