Many employers contribute to retirement funds. There are some professionals that traditionally have had great retirement funds such as teachers. This added to the opportunities for both men and women.

Over the years the retirement guarantees have all but disappeared. The organizational contributions have decreased along with the interest rates on savings accounts.

So what does this mean for the older adults who are living longer than ever?
