[Solved] Put Quotes Around Copied
Use the Medgar Evers College Library system to research the works of art you chose as well as your theme. You can use online and/or in-person articles and books from the Library.
1. Find 3 sources through the Library that are related to your chosen works of art and/or theme. Use the “Chat with a Librarian” feature on the website or speak with a librarian in-person if you would like any assistance.
2. For each source, copy the MLA citation information; most online sources through the library website have an automatically generated MLA citation you can copy.
3. Skim through the readings you research in order to find, and read more closely, your areas of interest within the texts. Take notes by copying phrases of information from the texts or paraphrasing. Put quotes around copied text. For each line of notes put parentheses with the author’s name and page number that the quoted or paraphrased information came from.
Fill up 2 pages of notes following the format in the example above. Make sure to have notes from all 3 sources.
4. Submit a total of 3 pages: your 2 pages of notes, and a 3rd page called “Works Cited” with the MLA citations for the 3 sources.
