[Solved] Help Teens Make Responsible

[Solved] Help Teens Make Responsible

In 2016, President Obama replaced abstinence-only programs with age-appropriate, evidence-based education that addresses life skills to help teens make responsible decisions that lead to safe and healthy lives. Many have argued that sexuality education should be the responsibility of parents and clergy and that schools should not be involved. However, parents and clergy have rebutted that they lack the proper information to disseminate to the kids and oftentimes cite a lack of proper information and embarrassment or acknowledgment of teen sexuality. Sexuality education is a lifelong process and it requires a multifaceted approach, it is a team effort.

Week 2 Assignment – Proposal

Scenario

Your team has been tasked with  delivering a Section 508-validated application for U.S. Department of  Homeland Security field officers to check potential immigrants for  connections to criminal or terrorist behavior. This application must  meet these requirements:

  • Conform with Section-508 accessibility guidelines.
  • Allow wireless real-time bidirectional data transfer and database queries with secure servers.
  • Have a secure login and, after two minutes of non-use, have autolocking that reactivates a secure login.
  • Allow for officers working on any day and at any time in offices,  from vehicles, and on foot along the U.S. border and in cities across  the country.

Overview

The first step in delivering the app  specified in the scenario is to define what users of the app need and  expect in order to create a positive user experience. You will do this  by writing a proposal for your company’s IT executive.

Instructions

Write a 2–4 page proposal for your  company’s IT executive that defines user applicability and needs. In  your proposal, include the following:

  • Craft an executive summary that states the purpose of the  proposal, as well as a conclusion paragraph that ties everything  together.
  • Define the operating environments to include users and supported platforms. Explain your rationale.
    • For users, include who the users will be and the environments they will be working in.
    • For supported platforms, include the types of devices and interfaces required by the specifications for the app.
  • Define who you will sample to determine any specific user needs  and the method you will use to collect data from these users. Explain  why you chose this sample and method.
  • Outline the necessary criteria you will use for collecting and  analyzing user data. For example, if you are using a survey or  interview, what questions would you ask? Be sure to address user  experience and needs, including specific design attributes that would  reduce user frustration with your application.
  • Identify at least two applicable statistical tests you could use  to evaluate the data you collected from users. Justify your choice of  these tests, and explain how you will interpret them.
  • Incorporate a minimum of three credible and relevant resources to  support your proposal. You may wish to begin your search by checking out  the CIS – Computer Information Systems page in the Strayer Library for a list of guides and databases.
  • Your writing should be professional and free of grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors.

This course requires the use of Strayer  Writing Standards. For assistance and information, please refer to the  Strayer Writing Standards link in the left-hand menu of your course. The specific course learning outcome associated with this assignment is:

RISK-TAKING BEHAVIOR AMONG ADOLESCENTS

Adolescence is the transition period between childhood and adulthood. During this transition, adolescents develop their own sense of identity independent of their caregivers. Relationships with caregivers, teachers, and peers can have an impact on the types of behaviors in which an adolescent engages. In order to establish their sense of identity, adolescents often have to try out new roles and new experiences associated with more adult behaviors, which can sometimes translate into adolescent risk-taking. The personal fable and imaginary audience can contribute to the willingness to engage in risky behavior. A personal fable is when an individual believes he/she is the only one experiencing a feeling; such as, his/her parents do not understand what they are going through. Adolescents preoccupied in their peer groups sometimes develop imaginary audiences because they believe others are constantly judging them. Culture and gender also influence how the adolescent perceives risk-taking behavior. While risk-taking behavior is predominantly perceived as unwanted dangerous behavior, it is not necessarily so. Sexual expression among adolescents need not result in pregnancy or sexually transmitted diseases, just as concerns with physical appearance do not always lead to eating disorders or depression.

For this Discussion, you will examine risk-taking behaviors by adolescents.

[Solved] Rider 2021

[Solved] Rider 2021

I thought you did a very good job in summarizing what nature vs nurture is, and how both are significant factors in development. The examples you provided for each stance were helpful, and showed how both genetic and environmental influences can impact an individual in various ways. The research you found about ASD was particularly interesting in that the study found both genetic and environmental influences as possible contributors for the disorder. Gene- environment interaction is when nature and nurture combine and some individuals are more sensitive to certain environments than others (Sigelman & Rider 2021). This seems to relate to the study that not only are there genetic factors at play, but also combined with environmental influences an individual is more likely to develop ASD. The percentage of genetic factors was insightful to learn. Did the article identify any other environmental factors other than infection during pregnancy as possible influences for the disorder?
