Learning Activity: Expatriates and Repatriation

Employment insecurity in the United States caused by layoffs and downsizing is experienced by other countries as well. As an HR leader in a multinational corporation, you could be responsible for both expatriate and repatriate employees in many different countries who are concerned about their careers. You realize that most of your expatriates normally have a greater degree of flexibility, autonomy, and independent decision-making while working abroad than their counterparts in the U.S.

  • Explain, in one or two paragraphs, how you would address the repatriation of expatriate employees when they may not have a job opportunity, experience difficulty readjusting to the culture, or struggle to learn a new job, after returning to their home country.
  • Provide an example and the rationale for your proposed approach to repatriation.

[Solved] Respirations 28 Breaths Per

A 50-year-old woman presents to the office with complaints of excessive fatigue and shortness of breath after activity, which is abnormal for her. The woman has a history of congestive heart failure with decreased kidney function within the last year. The woman appears unusually tired and slightly pale. Additional history and examination rules out worsening heart failure, acute illness, and worsening kidney disease. The CBC results indicate hemoglobin is 9.5 g/dL, which is a new finding, and the hematocrit is 29%. Previous hemoglobin levels have been 11 to 13g/dL. The patient’s vital signs are temperature 98.7°F, heart rate 92 bpm, respirations 28 breaths per minute, and blood pressure 138/72. The practitioner suspects the low hemoglobin level is related to the decline in kidney function and begins to address treatment related to the condition. Discuss the following:

  1. Which test(s) should be performed to determine whether the anemia is related to chronic disease or iron deficiency, and what would those results show?

[Solved] Familiar Marketing Campaign

[Solved] Familiar Marketing Campaign

The Department of Health and Human Services (2021), estimates that 53 million Americans are at increased risk for bone fractures. Calcium and Vitamin D are vital components for osteoporosis prevention. Dairy products, especially milk products, are common in the American diet and even have a familiar marketing campaign (“Got Milk?”) to help educate the public on the benefits of milk. Most Americans have the perception that drinking milk will give us strong bones, but is this true?

Initial post: Are dairy products, specifically milk, an effective dietary source to help prevent osteoporosis or could they cause more harm than good? Should we, as a society, be drinking more or less milk? Are there better dietary choices for calcium or should we all be taking calcium supplements? Please elaborate on your reasoning with your research.

Support your opinion with valid research and cite your sources appropriately.
