[Solved] Following ‘ Fictional ’

[Solved] Following ‘ Fictional ’

In Unit 2, you learned about specific government artifacts, including the Constitution, the amendments to the Constitution, Acts of Congress, and Executive Orders. You also explored the processes used to create these tools that molded modern culture into what it is today.

While these artifacts may seem only like governmental paperwork, they are manifestations of a massive social change (formation of a nation) and examples of human achievement to build and empower our modern culture collectively.

For this second assignment, you will write a reaction response that could be published as a Blog to the following ‘fictional’ Amendment to the U.S. Constitution:

Amendment XXVIII

Section 1. Effective immediately, the manufacture, sale, or transportation of any wi-fi or 5G devices is hereby prohibited. This will include cell phones, tablets, watches, and laptop computers.

Notes:

The government has already shown through the 18th Amendment (alcohol prohibition) that they can restrict products bought or sold to Americans whether you enjoy using the product or not. Your task for this assignment is to argue either ‘for’ this amendment or ‘against’ it based on its impact on American culture.

To do this, consider how you use these tools to interact with others, share music, produce art, or express spiritual understanding. For some, these tools have caused a divide in human experience, and they might prefer to go back to a human-to-human experience. For others, these tools define their interests, relationships, and daily life.

Aim for 2 – 3 well-developed (5 – 8 sentence) paragraphs.

Use APA format, which includes double spacing, indented paragraphs, and in-text citations if needed.

Though this is not required, if you use source material, please be sure it is academically credible and that you validate any sources used by creating in-text citations and references in APA format.

#1. Opioids are psychoactive drugs used to treat moderate and severe pain. Opioids are classified as Schedule 1 thru Schedule 5. The difference is whether they are approved for medical use and the risk of abuse. Drugs like oxycodone, hydromorphone, and fentanyl are examples of Schedule II drugs because they are prescribed by physicians to treat moderate to severe pain and have a higher probability of abuse.  Heroin is a Schedule I drug because it is not approved for medical purposes and has a high probability of abuse.  Schedule III through IV are often mixed with other substances such as Tylenol or used to treat opioid addiction. Fentanyl can sometimes be classified as Schedule I if it is not pharmaceutical grade. Regardless of the Schedule of the opioid these substances are highly addictive and will cause altered states of consciousness when overused. Prolonged use of opioids will result in developing high tolerance and severe withdrawal. Requiring the user to take more of the drug to obtain the initial effect of pain relief or high and reduce the harmful effects of the withdrawal.

As a Paramedic I have seen firsthand the deadly outcomes of opioid addiction or misuse. Whether is the elderly patient who forgot he/she has already taken the prescribed amount or the user chasing his/her “high”.  Opioids depress the respiratory system, cause altered levels of consciousness or awareness, and can also result in cardiac arrest. Narcan is an opioid antagonist. In simple terms, Narcan pushes opioids out of the receptor cells. Ultimately causing an immediate withdrawal for the user.  Narcan can be given intranasally, intravenously, intramuscularly or nebulized with oxygen. The goal of treatment is to restore respiration drive and effort but not always full reversal in all cases. As a provider, I encourage patients who are prescribed opioids to get their prescribed Narcan. Even if they never use it for themselves, they may one day save another person’s or loved one’s life just by having it available.  The added bonus is if the person is not having an opioid overdose Narcan does not cause adverse health concerns.

#2.  Xanax is a minor tranqulizing drug that helps with panic disorders, however it is known to get addicted to if you are not supposed to take it. If you were to take to much of the drug or mix it with anything it can be fatal. It makes people feel more calm and drawn back to reality without pushing them to their limits.  A Common side affect of Xanax is drowsiness, you never need to take it if you aren’t expecting to stay wherever you are for a little while. Im posting the link below if anyone needs any information on why this drug could be dangerous,if not used properly.

This is known, worldwide, as the Silva (Jose Silva) method and has to do with change of consciousness, specifically the deliberate alteration of brain wave frequency.

Our normal, waking, consciousness consists mainly of the beta brain wave frequency. The alteration, during a small portion of the waking hours, is mostly to Alpha. And, the reason for this alteration is to increase our knowledge of the whole reality picture, the interlocking and previously unknown facts of our existence. It is to realize the purpose of the individual. It is to connect us with other people’s minds at a deeper level. It is not, actually, just hypnosis.

It’s to get a clearer picture of our personal life, and the life of all.

What I have learned from Jose Silva is that to benefit from these teachings our main concern must be for everyone. Not for ourselves, but for everyone else. With that one benefits themselves.

#1. I first heard of Jose Silva during the 1970’s. When I learned I must pay hundreds of dollars to attend a class, I dismissed the idea of learning anything more from him.

About 2 years ago, I became curious about Jose Silva and his teachings.

Then, with far less money than in the 1970’s  I began training my mind with the audio recordings of Silva Ultramind. My life started to shift, and I had less anxiety. My luck even improved and miracles came into my life. I also had better insight into the best next decisions to make for my life.

I want to learn more about going into the Alpha state without recordings. I have been able to, but still need the recording sometimes. This will take practice.

#2.  One topic related to consciousness that interests me would have to be the state of consciousness that leads us to dreaming. I am fascinated with dreams because of how realistic they can be. Some believe dreams have symbolic meaning, whereas others believe they relate to waking life. Scientists know that almost everyone dreams every time they sleep, and those dreams can be fascinating, exciting, terrifying, or just plain weird. Dreams are highly visual, in full color, rich in shapes, full of movement, and incorporate typical wakefulness categories such as people, faces, places, objects, and animals. Still, to this day, precisely why we dream is not known.
This topic is essential for mental health professionals and how it could be applied in my future career because consciousness in psychology refers to awareness of internal processes like thinking, feeling, sensing, and perceiving. It can also mean the awareness of memories and your control over your behaviors. Consciousness has several biological and social purposes, and understanding different levels of consciousness can help healthcare professionals spot signs that someone might be experiencing a problem. There are also theories of consciousness.                              Additionally, The aspect of consciousness and dreaming I would want to learn more about would be why we dream and what makes us dream. It just amazes me how wild and vivid dreams can be as well as how simple and dull others can be. I really want to know what factors decide these results.
