[Solved] Recent “ Panic ”

[Solved] Recent “ Panic ”

  • Prompt 2: Paragraphs 2 and 3, “Whether the Independence . . . as good a pretense as he.”  In Common Sense, Paine had declared that America could defeat itself with “delay and timidity.” What does he say about time in paragraph 2?
  • Prompt 3: Paragraph 4, “It is surprising to see.”  Feel free to comment on the recent “panic” we have had in our country for the last few years if you see a connection.  However, do not lose focus on the actual prompt – a solid summary of the paragraph.
  • Prompt 5: Paragraph 7, “I shall now not attempt.”  This paragraph is shorter but full.  Be sure to address the state of the men and also what Paine has to say about Washington’s character through the reference to King William.
  • Prompt 8: Paragraph 11, “America did not, nor does not, want force. . . .”
  • Prompt 10: Paragraph 13, “My own line of reasoning. . . .”  Do not ignore Paine’s strong language against the king.

[Solved] Yanchar Et Al

[Solved] Yanchar Et Al

Very nice discussion post. The scientific method is a form of critical thinking based on careful collection of evidence, accurate description and measurements, precise definition, controlled observation, and reputable results (Bordens & Abbott, 2022). In its ideal form the scientific method has six elements: (1) Identify the problem (2) Defining research problem/make observations (3) Proposing hypothesis (4) Gathering evidence and experiment/test hypothesis (5) Analyze the data (theory building) (6) Communicate results/or modify experiment (publish results). Yanchar et al., 2008). Additionally, in chapter 1 of our textbook, the authors stated that pseudo-sciences are unfounded systems that are frequently confused with valid psychology. Unlike psychology, pseudoscience changes little over time because followers seek evidence that appears to confirm their beliefs and avoid evidence that contradicts their beliefs. Beliefs in pseudoscience are based in part on uncritical acceptance, confirmation bias, and the Barnum affect (Bordens & Abbot, 2022). My question is what are the qualities that define pseudoscience? Also, can you give some examples of pseudoscience?

[Solved] Vocabulary Chart Assignment Instructions

[Solved] Vocabulary Chart Assignment Instructions

VOCABULARY CHART ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS
OVERVIEW
The module overviews of the first two modules expose you to the various educational
philosophies from the ancients of Plato, Aristotle, and Aquinas, through the modern and post-
modern philosophical eras, to what you will discover in Module 3: Week 3 when you study
educational theories of transmission and transformation. Since philosophy has its own
terminology that can be foreign to education majors, this assignment is designed to help you
identify this terminology of philosophy and define it. This chart thus becomes an invaluable tool
for the remainder of the course as well as a benefit for a future career in education.
INSTRUCTIONS
Complete the Vocabulary Chart Template using your reading assignments (i.e., the Gutek
textbook and internet database searching). Definitions are to be technically specific to
philosophy of education. Instead of copying the definition verbatim, paraphrase it in words that
would be meaningful to someone new to the field of philosophy. Avoid using the term itself in
the definition. The definition need not be lengthy but must be long enough to convey the full
meaning.
