For this Written Response Assessment, you will respond to a series of  six items about foundational concepts of high-quality inclusive early  childhood programs and practices.

Submission length: 6 prompts with responses ranging from 1–3 paragraphs in length

Professional Skill: Written Communication is assessed in this Competency.

very student is different, and one of the challenges teachers face is learning about what motivates each individual student and what strategies are most effective for helping the class engage with the content so learning can take place. This is especially true when teaching reading.  Reading is an essential life skill, and one that must be cultivated and developed in all students, regardless of their diverse interests and varied abilities. Teachers must learn to survey and get to know their students so they can plan effective instruction that is differentiated and motivates all types of readers.

Imagine that you are a classroom teacher for students in the grade level you are most interested in teaching. It is the beginning of the school year, and you will soon be introducing students to the first book they will read and study as a class. As the teacher, you are tasked with differentiating instruction and employing various motivational strategies to ensure that your students are engaged with what they are reading. You have decided that you will create a project-based assessment that can meet the differentiated needs of the students and provide a culturally relevant learning experience.

Study the “Class Profile” to learn more about the specific needs of the students in your class. Use the qualitative and quantitative data presented to think about how you can motivate students based on their interests and needs and provide classroom activities that will increase skills and performance levels.

 Submit the completed “Literature Project” template, student handout, and grading rubric. 

After reading the chapters and watching the videos of this module, go back to Figure 1.5 and think about who are the major players in the US health services system? What are the positive and negative effects of the often conflicting self-interests of these players? To make things more interesting: if your UIN ends in an odd number, answer the question considering a player on the human resource side (i.e., health service professionals like primary care, nurse practitioners, physicians). If your UIN ends in an even number, answer the question considering a player on the health services financing side (i.e., the federal government, state governments, private insurers).

You need to submit your post by the third day of the module (usually Wednesday) by 11:59 PM, Central Time. 

After you post your original thoughts, you need to compare your response with a student who posted about a different player. For example, if your UIN ends in 3 and you posted about physicians, you should compare your response to a student who posted about, say, private insurers. This activity will give you the opportunity to see how different players have different perspectives, goals, etc. 

You need to submit your posts (at least 2) by the seventh day of the module (usually Sunday) by 11:59 PM, Central Time. 

Please use APA format if you use any external references besides the book.

For the chapter one current event, please review the section titled: The Impact of State and Local Politics on Daily Life. Once you do that, research a recent news article from within the last 6 months that addresses this topic. Download a copy of the current event template (provided below) and answer all  4 questions. For question one, paste the URL of the news article you found from the internet. For question 2 , write a 250 word summary of your news article. Quoted text will not count towards the 250 word minimum.   Question three you will need to identify the ways state and local governments affect your daily life. Please provide specific details to support your opinion. For question 4, you are to write a one or two sentence critical thinking question related to the article you just read. What unanswered questions did you find in the article?  This question can be related to the subject of the article (such as the President or Governor) or the journalist who wrote the article (biased view point). 

 

• Describe the national healthcare issue/stressor you selected and its impact on your organization. Use organizational data to quantify the impact (if necessary, seek assistance from leadership or appropriate stakeholders in your organization).
• Provide a brief summary of the two articles you reviewed from outside resources on the national healthcare issue/stressor. Explain how the healthcare issue/stressor is being addressed in other organizations.
• Summarize the strategies used to address the organizational impact of national healthcare issues/stressors presented in the scholarly resources you selected. Explain how they may impact your organization both positively and negatively. Be specific and provide examples.
