[Solved] Ethernet Switch Using Category

[Solved] Ethernet Switch Using Category

**This is a two part assignment

Part one:

With the attached worksheet you will begin to map the design of a typical TCP/IP network. Column One within the worksheet includes a series of 16 individual TCP/IP protocols, and Column Two will include the four layers of the TCP/IP suite of protocols. Map each protocol in Column One to its appropriate layer in Column Two by indicating the appropriate layer. An individual protocol cannot be mapped to two distinct layers, but multiple protocols can be mapped to one layer.

Part two:

For this part of the assignment you will be reviewing the scenario below and then building the associated Class C TCP/IP ranges for each of the required subnets.

Andrew’s Biometrics Corp (ABC) is a new organization in downtown Dallas. It has a total of 70 employees in a building with five floors. Each floor has a wiring closet with a router connected to an Ethernet switch. All the routers are connected using a fiber backbone. The company servers with sensitive information and developers are located on the first floor. The fifth floor is the location of all the executive offices. All users are directly connected to the Ethernet switch using Category 6 cables. ABC purchased a Class C TCP/IP address (193.4.5.x), and they want to create five subnets for security reasons.

In your paper, you will explain a portion of the design of ABC’s TCP/IP network. Compute the IP range for each of the five subnets and explain the layout of the network with appropriate justifications for your plan. Access your virtual lab environment and create a diagram using Visio to visually represent the proposed network. Include the diagram as an image within your document. (The Visio diagram may be included in your assignment by means of a screenshot pasted into your document prior to submission.

[Solved] Whether Verbal Assurances Become

[Solved] Whether Verbal Assurances Become

 Scenario

Mowers, Inc., a fictional company, has a flourishing lawn care business. The business has two full-time employees who have been with the company for five years. All employees are trained on using the lawn equipment and, upon being hired, signed a waiver-of-liability contract limiting liability for the company. The owner, Brian, tells his employees “Not to worry – the company will protect you!”

One employee, Lori, was on the job cutting a lawn. Lori was riding a mower, a Ferrari 2000, which was three years old and in good working condition. The step-up on the mower had writing on it with a warning sticker to replace the sandpaper liner for traction every three years due to normal wear and tear. It was replaced every three years as required.

Lori stepped down off the rider, slipped because of moisture from the grass, and severed her pinky toe on the mower blade. When she fell to the ground, the mower continued through the grass and proceeded by itself to cut and mulch a neighbor’s prize roses. Peta, the neighbor, was preparing for a rose competition with a potential grand prize of $10,000.

Instructions

Consider the above scenario and write 3-4 pages in which you make the following determinations. Make sure to cite and explain the law for each determination.

  1. Pursuant to contract law requirements, determine the legality of the waiver and whether verbal assurances become part of the written contract. Support your response.
  2. Determine whether the plaintiff has a product liability case against the manufacturer for each of the following defects. Support your response.
    • Design.
    • Manufacturing.
    • Failure-to-warn.
  3. Determine whether the employee has a claim for injuries and whether the employee can recover pain and suffering damages per tort or worker’s compensation law. Support your response.

Note:

  • Remember, you are demonstrating your understanding of the law, so explain the law first and then make your determination. Be informative and show what you know! References should be from credible and reputable legal sources.

Requirements

  • 3-4 pages, double-spaced, Times New Roman font (size 12), 1-inch margins on all sides.

[Solved] Costa Rican Govemment Officials

[Solved] Costa Rican Govemment Officials

In Brazil, the export industry always finds ways to cut costs. The international community expressed its dismay at the manufacturers’ latest cost-cutting decision to replace flouride with diethylene glycol in toothpaste. Flouride is designed to strengthen teeth enamel. Diethylene glycol is a poisonous substance used to make chemicals that are widely used by the automobile industry.

The end product exported from Brazil was poisonous toothpaste that was not labeled to indicate that it contained diethylene glycol. When the poisonous chemical was found in the toothpaste, Costa Rican govemment officials issued a warning telling consumers to discard the toothpaste. In 2019, a study found that toothpaste containing diethylene glycol was harmless if the chemical concentration was below 15.6 percent. The contaminated toothpaste found in Costa Rica contained levels as high as 5 percent. Costa Rican government officials warned that it was unsafe in any concentration. It is especially harmful for children, as well as those suffering from weakened kidneys.
In July 2020, due to growing concern about the safety of the imported toothpaste, the Costa Rican government banned all manufacturers from using diethylene glycol in toothpaste. Investigators believed that the toothpaste originated from two small manufacturers in the Brazil but the manufacturers denied any wrongdoing.
The contaminated toothpaste was found in five shipping containers but there have not been any confirmed illnesses or deaths from using the contaminated toothpaste.
If you were manufacturing toothpaste and decided to substitute diethylene glycol for glycerin, would you consider it your ethical obligation to tell the consumer?

use the example to help with this:

As you work together to identify and develop three potential  concessions, you should keep in mind the following critical elements:

  • Sharon Slade’s and Alice Jones’ ZOPA and BATNA positions developed in Milestone One and the individual Module Four discussion.
  • Areas where Netflix has flexibility: These areas  may include: modifying the performance improvement plan, shifting Alice  to another position, outplacement benefits, employee health benefits,  and so on. Other concessions, such as payment for accrued vacation time,  may or may not be negotiable because the company has a formal severance  policy.
  • Legal vulnerability: You should also consider the  degree of legal vulnerability the company has in this situation. For  example, what is the probability that Alice Jones could sue for age  discrimination?

[Solved] General Career Development Questionnaire

[Solved] General Career Development Questionnaire

Overview

The HR staff is called upon to create career development plans for employees at organizations of all sizes. Established organizations must update their career development strategies often while new and growing organizations need to create career development plans as a complement to an overall retention strategy.

In this assignment, you’ll research the importance of career development planning and the role that HR plays. In addition, you’ll provide recommendations for how to address challenges in career development, create a general career development questionnaire addressing individual employee career goals, and provide a framework and rationale for a comprehensive organizational employee development plan.

Scenario

You’ve been hired as a retention specialist at a large high-technology company with locations across the globe. You’ll work within the United States HR division and will need to create an employee development plan. Your first task is to research employee development plans and understand the potential challenges inherent in these plans. Then, you’ll need to create an employee questionnaire to be used as the basis for, and the first step toward, crafting a comprehensive organizational employee development plan.

Instructions

Create a framework for a comprehensive organizational employee career development plan in which you:

  • Provide the rationale for establishing a career development plan that cites credible sources and includes the benefits of a plan for both employees and the organization.
  • Describe HR’s role in career development and two or more modern challenges to traditional career planning, citing credible sources.
  • Provide an example of each of the four career profiles identified in the XanEdu resource Developing Employee Career Paths and Ladders, and a course of action for how an HRM professional might use a career development plan to motivate employees from each profile. Note: The XanEdu resource is on the XanEdu page under the Course Information Module.
  • Create a career development plan questionnaire with 7-8 questions that address individual employee career ambitions and that will enable the initial steps toward a comprehensive organizational-level plan.
  • Describe the major components of a comprehensive organizational-level plan, citing credible sources, that include the concept of career mapping.
  • Use sources to support your writing. Choose sources that are credible, relevant, and appropriate. Cite each source listed on your source page at least one time within your assignment. For help with research, writing, and citation, access the library or review library guides.

This course requires the use of Strayer Writing Standards (SWS). The library is your home for SWS assistance, including citations and formatting. Please refer to the Library site for all support. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.  This will be completed in five pages.
