Scenario

Mowers, Inc., a fictional company, has a flourishing lawn care business. The business has two full-time employees who have been with the company for five years. All employees are trained on using the lawn equipment and, upon being hired, signed a waiver-of-liability contract limiting liability for the company. The owner, Brian, tells his employees “Not to worry – the company will protect you!”

One employee, Lori, was on the job cutting a lawn. Lori was riding a mower, a Ferrari 2000, which was three years old and in good working condition. The step-up on the mower had writing on it with a warning sticker to replace the sandpaper liner for traction every three years due to normal wear and tear. It was replaced every three years as required.

Lori stepped down off the rider, slipped because of moisture from the grass, and severed her pinky toe on the mower blade. When she fell to the ground, the mower continued through the grass and proceeded by itself to cut and mulch a neighbor’s prize roses. Peta, the neighbor, was preparing for a rose competition with a potential grand prize of $10,000.

Consider the above scenario and write 3-4 pages in which you make the following determinations. Make sure to cite and explain the law for each determination.

1. Pursuant to contract law requirements, determine the legality of the waiver and whether verbal assurances become part of the written contract. Support your response.
2. Determine whether the plaintiff has a product liability case against the manufacturer for each of the following defects. Support your response.
   • Design.
   • Manufacturing.
   • Failure-to-warn.
3. Determine whether the employee has a claim for injuries and whether the employee can recover pain and suffering damages per tort or worker’s compensation law. Support your response.

There are 6 members in my group. We had a meeting last week on Tuesday . We talked briefly about the meeting for about 1 hour. You need to write total 4 pages content and references extra 1 page. Overview

The HR staff is called upon to create career development plans for employees at organizations of all sizes. Established organizations must update their career development strategies often while new and growing organizations need to create career development plans as a complement to an overall retention strategy.

In this assignment, you’ll research the importance of career development planning and the role that HR plays. In addition, you’ll provide recommendations for how to address challenges in career development, create a general career development questionnaire addressing individual employee career goals, and provide a framework and rationale for a comprehensive organizational employee development plan.

Scenario

You’ve been hired as a retention specialist at a large high-technology company with locations across the globe. You’ll work within the United States HR division and will need to create an employee development plan. Your first task is to research employee development plans and understand the potential challenges inherent in these plans. Then, you’ll need to create an employee questionnaire to be used as the basis for, and the first step toward, crafting a comprehensive organizational employee development plan.

Instructions

Create a framework for a comprehensive organizational employee career development plan in which you:

• Provide the rationale for establishing a career development plan that cites credible sources and includes the benefits of a plan for both employees and the organization.
• Describe HR’s role in career development and two or more modern challenges to traditional career planning, citing credible sources.
• Provide an example of each of the four career profiles identified in the XanEdu resource Developing Employee Career Paths and Ladders, and a course of action for how an HRM professional might use a career development plan to motivate employees from each profile. • Create a career development plan questionnaire with 7-8 questions that address individual employee career ambitions and that will enable the initial steps toward a comprehensive organizational-level plan.
• Describe the major components of a comprehensive organizational-level plan, citing credible sources, that include the concept of career mapping.
