[Solved] Fitchburg Mass Community Called

[Solved] Fitchburg Mass Community Called

In response to your peers, share some creative ways to help them secure answers to the questions they would ask about the organization.

1#  There is an organization in my Fitchburg Mass community called LUK. This not-for-profit organization helps children and their families to get where they need to be in life and exceed at it. They take these families as is with no judgment to work together as a team and allowing each individual to be apart of their plan making. The five additional things I would want to know are; Is this a place where someone can grow and move up the ladder or is this a place where you have your spot and you just become better and better at your spot? Is this a place that dedicates themselves to and ensures that the staff as well are culturally competent to take on the roles they perform? How do you go about knowing whether someone is fulfilling their job objectives when it comes to these families and youth they are working with? What protocol is put in place for someone in the organization who has a bias and isn’t speaking on it but yet the complaints and comments don’t add up to the person you know or thought you knew (colleague)? How do you guys promote yourselves?and what happens if there comes a year where you receive little to no donations? is there a backup plan put in place for that?

As an African American young women These questions are importatnt for me to know in order to know if my time and goals are being taken seriously.I want to work somewhere I can grow and move up in the ranks and even a place is bias towards my culture growing at least I took the tools to equip me to grow in another or really start my own.

2#  The human service organization I have chosen in my area is the Charles County Department of Social Services. Some additional things that I would want to know about the organization before I would consider working for them are:

  • Do they have programs or assistance for helping the homeless find a safe place to live?
  • What form of security do they have to protect the worker if something were to happen in the building when there is only a security check-in at the entrance of the building?
  • What are some pros and cons of working with this company?
  • What are their protocols and actions for helping people?
  • What action do we take as workers to ensure that the people we serve are doing what they need to do to maintain their service?

The questions that I would have specifically about the organization’s leadership or pose directly to its leaders is, How come the system only help the ones that are not working get service like food stamps, health insurance, etc.., but for other low-income people that work, and still struggle with things can not get any help even though our hard work taxes go to paying for the food stamps and things.

[Solved] Never Ending Selfless Help

[Solved] Never Ending Selfless Help

In response to your peers, share some creative ways to help them highlight their existing skills and identify what they would need to work on in an interview setting. Please provide in-text citations.

1# The career path that is my dream job is having my own non-profit foundation that serves my community hugely. My dream job is to be there for youth no matter their cultural background and let them know hey, life is literally what you make it, and if you want to make the best out of it with the challenged that come with it along the way I Am here for you. Growing up I needed a person like me , so I will be that person for our youth especially our youth male. I feel personally I fit all the NOHS skills and attitudes of course the knowledge is going to be something that eternity will grow. I feel I am more than cultural competent, I have no bias that hold me back from doing and serving my community. The work that I want to do is what will bring me pleasure and happiness, seeing people succeed in life and have faith and good outlook on themselves is what will restore me. As a person who is spiritual my spirit and soul are warmed knowing I equipped someone with knowledge, respect, integrity, and strong will that they didn’t have in themselves before the conquer the world and keep this cycle of never ending selfless help going. In order to succeed at this role in life that I want to play I must continue my track of knowledge. I have to get this bachelors degree and come back for 2 more degrees. I need to get Deeper into My psychological degrees to learn more about the human brain and how we function and what does specific actions and gestures really mean besides what they show on the surface. I want to not only guide our youth but I want to be their therapist by law at the same time. Let them know I worked my butt off to get this credentials to do my best to serve my community.

2#  Behavioral Management Aide is the career path I want to follow. I have the skills of identifying intervention, planning skills and the ability to implement them into a plan. I defiantly need to work on work in a group since I tend to do better working by myself because I am a bit of a control freak. To work in behavioral health, you need to be able to lean on others to help you with clients at times so I would need to work on working with others and not having to have that control all the time.

[Solved] Actively Work Towards Dismantling

[Solved] Actively Work Towards Dismantling

1#  Being a person who lives in an urban community I believe social workers who deal with people from these communities are needed to assist people in helping with secure housing through proper government agencies and other resources to keep put them or keep them in housing. social workers can help their clients with negotiating with their landlords or help get them programs to pay their rent to keep them from being homeless. I believe that a human service worker who provides care to their clients holistically will empower and strengthen not only the individual but the community as well. the job of a human service worker is to help relieve suffering, fight for social justices, and improve the lives of their clients with programs that cater to their strengths while helping them work on their weaknesses.

2#  I have found that  it comes down to the key social work activities that Human Service Providers engage in to empower individuals and strengthen their living environment, I believe that the one that stands out the most is advocacy because its important in addressing the issues faced in today’s society.

Advocacy plays a crucial role in promoting social justice, equality, and positive change within communities. In today’s complex and rapidly changing world, the numerous social issues that demand our attention and action is put of this world. From not only economic inequality and systemic discrimination but to mental health concerns and environmental sustainability, the challenges we face are varied and interconnected.

By engaging in advocacy, we as service providers can amplify the voices of those marginalized individuals and communities that are challenged by the oppressive systems, and we can work towards creating a more inclusive and equitable society.  For me Advocacy holds utmost importance because it allows us to shine a light on the experiences and perspectives of those who are often marginalized or silenced. By creating or giving that platform for an individuals and communities facing discrimination or injustice, we can raise awareness, challenge stereotypes, and begin to foster understanding.

As providers who are engaged in advocacy we can influence policy and legislative changes that address systemic issues. By engaging with policymakers and participating in advocacy campaigns, we can advocate for policies that promote social welfare, protect vulnerable populations, and dismantle barriers to equal opportunities. Advocacy efforts help educate the public about social issues that are often misunderstood or overlooked. Advocacy brings together individuals, organizations, and communities that share a common goal.

Social workers empowers through adovacay to individuals and communities to advocate for themselves. By providing resources, skills, and support, we can enable people to have a voice in decisions that directly impact their lives, fostering a sense of agency and self-determination.

While all key social work activities are important, overall for me advocacy stands out as the most critical given the issues faced in today’s society. By engaging in advocacy, we can actively work towards dismantling oppressive systems, promoting social justice, and creating positive, sustainable change. Together, let us strive to empower individuals and strengthen the environments in which they live.

Question:  Reflecting on your own role as a social worker or Human Service Provider, how do you personally envision incorporating advocacy into your practice to empower individuals and strengthen their living environment?

[Solved] Multiple Resources Addressing Similar

In the 500-600-word Argumentative Synthesis, you will use information from multiple resources addressing similar topics to argue your own position on that topic. This assignment requires that you make an explicit thesis, or claim, about your topic and use your sources to provide adequate support for your thesis.

  1. Select an argument based on the four articles, three of which we have already read and a fourth that you choose:
  2.  “What Sets Successful CEOs Apart” (Botelho et al., 2017)
  3. “The 21st Century CEO” (Gordon & Martin, 2019)
  4. “Research: Men Speak More Abstractly Than Women” (Wakslak and Joshi, 2022)
  5. The source of your choice must adhere to the standards of credible sources (do the CRAAP test), be in English, and be at least 1000 words long.
  6. Construct a thesis that makes a claim about the topic.
  7. Support your thesis with evidence from four sources, integrating their material with your commentary. Avoid too much summary – include only enough to explain your ideas.
  8. Include the major components of an academic assignment, including an introduction (with a thesis statement), a body (with topic sentences for each paragraph), and a conclusion. Paragraphs should be coherent and demonstrate unity.
  9. Avoid plagiarism by paraphrasing and quoting the sources appropriately with assignment APA in-text and reference citations. Remember that a sentence cannot consist of just a direct quotation (use attributive phrases/reporting verbs).
  10. Drawing from feedback from previous assignments, edit  carefully.

[Solved] Multidimensional Influences Social Workers

[Solved] Multidimensional Influences Social Workers

1# I believe that the human condition is influenced by all three (nature vs nurture). Biological factors/influences such as our genes, gender, brain structure and chemistry & hormone levels all play a role in how each person functions. Psychological influences such as perception, thoughts, feelings and emotions influence human functioning on both a conscious and subconscious level. Socially we are influenced by things such as relationships, our environment, our stress factors and our support systems. So although biological and psychological factors predispose us to certain genetic conditions, the social influences such as social norms, peers, groups, & other factors also exert influence over the way we behave through unwritten rules and by what is considered acceptable or unacceptable in social “norms.” Research from social psychology has shown us that connecting to others helps the psychological processes (Fiske. 2018).

I believe that by understanding these multidimensional influences social workers learn to recognize their clients issues, needs, conditions, limitations, and factors that their clients are facing. By gaining this knowledge, social workers are better prepared and able to assist their clients with getting access to resources, teaching them problem solving techniques, and discuss all the options at hand. The more the social worker knows about their client, the better able they are to assist them

2# When I first read the question of which influence most impacts human functioning, I immediately thought social because I look at social development as what influences the decisions we make. Social media and conformity to social rules have a big impact on most people, if not everyone in their daily lives and influences how we interact with others.

These three influences on the human condition are important to each other. The psychological influence is developed from the biological influence and the social influence is developed from the psychological influence. If I had to make a choice of which influence has the biggest impact on the human condition, I feel like I would keep contradicting myself. Biology is our physical development and it can be changed depending on the physical choices we make throughout our lives. Depending on how we change physically, we can also change psychologically which would then change us socially. For example, excessive drug or alcohol use can change the way the brain works which can change the things and the people that we feel are most valuable to us.

Psychology is our mental development which makes up how we interact with others. Psychology is what makes up how we think about ourselves, others, and the environment around us(Zastrow, C., Kirst-Ashman, K.K. & Hessenauer, S.L., 2019). Our social development, the friends we choose in school, and the type environment we feel most comfortable in depends on who we are psychologically. However, social influences can also change who we are psychologically depending on the kind of person we want to be and how we want others to view us. I don’t think I can come up with a clear-cut answer as to which influence impacts us the most.

I think that understanding these influences can help with the social workers decision making because it helps them to understand why a person is the way they are and what has influenced them to be the way they are. I think it is important to remember that one influence can’t exist without the other two and that just a simple interaction or experience can change everything about a person and who they want to be.

My question to the class: Did you have a hard time deciding which influence has the biggest impact on the human condition? Why or why not?
