Graphs for Modeling Real-World Situations

Post 1: Initial Response

Imagine a real-world situation that involves relationships that can be modeled with a graph. A graph consists of a discrete number of vertices and the edges that connect them. When brainstorming the situation you would like to model with a graph, review the examples that have been presented in your unit readings and homework exercises for ideas.

  1. Consider a situation in your personal or professional world that involves relationships that can be modeled with a graph. Describe this situation in at least one well-composed paragraph, sharing:
    • A brief description of the situation modeled,
    • What each vertex represents, and
    • What each edge represents.
  2. Draw a connected graph using a drawing program of your choice and include it in your post. The following must be present in your graph:
    • 5–10 vertices, each clearly labeled with a single capital letter (A, B, C, D, E …)
    • At least 2 vertices of degree 3 or more (the degree of a vertex is the count of how many edges are attached to that vertex).
    • At least 1 circuit.

Post 2: Reply to a Classmate
Review a classmate’s post and consider their real-world context. Address all of the following items. For all references used, please cite them in APA format. No explanations may be taken directly word for word from another source.

  1. In your own words, explain to your classmate what is required for a trail or circuit to be a Euler trail or circuit.
  2. Does a Euler trail exist for their graph? Explain specifically using the label and degree of each vertex.
  3. Does a Euler circuit exist for their graph? Explain specifically using the label and degree of each vertex.

Post 3: Reply to Another Classmate

Review a different classmate’s post and consider their real-world context. Address all of the following items. For all references used, please cite them in APA format. No explanations may be taken directly word for word from another source.

  1. In your own words, explain to your classmate what is required for a walk to be a Hamiltonian path or cycle.
  2. Identify one sequence of vertices that makes either a Hamiltonian path or a Hamiltonian cycle.
  3. Based on the context of your classmate’s situation modeled by the graph, think about whether it would be most practical to seek a Euler trail or circuit versus a Hamiltonian path or cycle. Which one do you think would be more useful in your classmate’s situation and why?

[Solved] Least One Professional Organization

[Solved] Least One Professional Organization

You have probably seen one or more of the many inspirational posters about decisions. A visual such as a forked road or a street sign is typically pictured, along with a quote designed to inspire.

Decisions are often not so easily inspired. Perhaps you discovered this when choosing a specialty within the MSN program. This decision is a critical part of your plan for success, and you no doubt want to get it right. This is yet another area where your network can help, as well as other sources of information that can help you make an informed choice.

Note: Unless otherwise noted, initial postings to Discussions are due on or before Day 3, and response postings are due on or before Day 6. You are required to participate in the Discussion on at least three different days (a different day for main post and each response). It is important to adhere to the weekly time frame to allow others ample time to respond to your posting. In addition, you are expected to respond to questions directed toward your own initial posting in a timely manner.

To Prepare:

Reflect on your decision to pursue a specialty within the MSN program, including your professional and academic goals as they relate to your program/specialization.

Post an explanation of your choice of a nursing specialty within the program. Describe any difficulties you had (or are having) in making your choice, and the factors that drove/are driving your decision. Identify at least one professional organization affiliated with your chosen specialty and provide details on becoming a member.

[Solved] Enhance Patient Satisfaction One

[Solved] Enhance Patient Satisfaction One

Directions:

It is essential to have effective communication in healthcare. Patient safety, the quality of their care, and staff satisfaction depends on effective, timely communication. For your initial post, discus the advantages of:

  • One communication technology that can enhance patient safety
  • One communication technology that can enhance patient satisfaction
  • One communication technology that can enhance staff satisfaction

For your reply:

  1. Provide at least two disadvantages for at least one of the communications technologies discussed by your 2 of your peers.
  2.  Include a detailed rationales supported by research.
  3. Provided a possible solution.

Please make your initial post by midweek, and respond to at least two other student’s post by the end of the week. All posts require references AND in-text citations in full APA format. Information must be paraphrased and not quoted. Please check the Course Calendar for specific due dates. NOTE: Finalized postings must be submitted by deadlines. Any edits after deadline will be counted as late submissions and deducted accordingly. If you need to make any corrections for clarity’s sake only, you can write an addendum as a reply to yourself. The initial post will still be the one receiving full grade.

Make sure all posts are thorough, well-researched, and meet minimum requirements and word counts (see rubric)

[Solved] Advancing Health Structural Aspects

[Solved] Advancing Health Structural Aspects

Goal:

Analyze and evaluate a middle range theory.  You will select a middle range theory and identify application of nursing theories into clinical practice.

Content Requirements:

  1. Components of the theory
    • Discuss the major concepts of the theory
    • Philosophical basis or worldview change, advancing health
  2. Structural aspects of the theory
    • Discuss the framework of the theory.
  3. Identify an area of your practice where this theory could be applicable
    • What question does the theory help to answer?
    • Describe the area of interest in relationship to the theory/theoretical model.
    • Is it appropriate for the practice setting and is it applicable?
    • Discuss the strength and weakness of the theory. If there is weakness, discuss what makes it difficult to be used in practice.
  4. Use of theory in clinical practice.
    • Performing a literature review is essential to completing this section. If there is no literature available about the application of this theory in practice, address reason(s) why based on your findings.
  5. Evaluation of theory
    • Is this theory used to understand and apply into practice?
    • What difficulties did you encounter or would anticipate encountering in using this theory?
    • What would make this theory more usable or applicable to practice?

[Solved] Policy Evaluation Answers Basic

[Solved] Policy Evaluation Answers Basic

Program/policy evaluation is a valuable tool that can help strengthen the quality of programs/policies and improve outcomes for the populations they serve. Program/policy evaluation answers basic questions about program/policy effectiveness. It involves collecting and analyzing information about program/policy activities, characteristics, and outcomes. This information can be used to ultimately improve program services or policy initiatives.

Nurses can play a very important role assessing program/policy evaluation for the same reasons that they can be so important to program/policy design. Nurses bring expertise and patient advocacy that can add significant insight and impact. In this Assignment, you will practice applying this expertise and insight by selecting an existing healthcare program or policy evaluation and reflecting on the criteria used to measure the effectiveness of the program/policy.

  • Review the Healthcare Program/Policy Evaluation Analysis Template provided in the Resources.
  • Select an existing healthcare program or policy
  •  evaluation or choose one of interest to you.
  • Review community, state, or federal policy evaluation and reflect on the criteria used to measure the effectiveness of the program or policy described.

The Assignment: (2–3 pages)

Based on the program or policy evaluation you selected, complete the Healthcare Program/Policy Evaluation Analysis Template. Be sure to address the following:

  • Describe the healthcare program or policy outcomes.
  • How was the success of the program or policy measured?
  • How many people were reached by the program or policy selected?
  • How much of an impact was realized with the program or policy selected?
  • At what point in program implementation was the program or policy evaluation conducted?
  • What data was used to conduct the program or policy evaluation?
  • What specific information on unintended consequences was identified?
  • What stakeholders were identified in the evaluation of the program or policy? Who would benefit most from the results and reporting of the program or policy evaluation? Be specific and provide examples.
  • Did the program or policy meet the original intent and objectives? Why or why not?
  • Would you recommend implementing this program or policy in your place of work? Why or why not?
  • Identify at least two ways that you, as a nurse advocate, could become involved in evaluating a program or policy after 1 year of implementation.
