[Solved] Technology Thus Human Workers

[Solved] Technology Thus Human Workers

1. The advantages to human servcies being available online are that it makes it more accessible to those who may not have time to spend all day waiting at a social service office for assistance. It also helps because some of them offer pre-screening and allow you to see if you qualify for the service in a short time frame once again circumventing the long waits in person or on the phone associated with social service departments. Disadvantages are that most things online are done without assistance from someone who knows what they’re doing so if you’re confused you will have to either email and wait up to 72 hours for a response or call and wait for hours on hold for help. There’s also only so much that can get done and most social services require a human to look over what you have filled out online and make a decision so it hasn’t cut the wait out of the process overall.

2. Technology has made it easier for people to access information, knowledge and resources that they need. It has also made it easier for people to share their ideas with others, which helps us all learn from one another and as a society. BUT. Technology can have a downside, particularly when it removes jobs, reduces local responsibility, ignores local relationships and produces worse outcomes. How many jobs do you think we have created over the past 10 years that have been switched to technology thus human workers?

3. I feel like there are more advantages than disadvantages to technology in human service delivery. One of the advantages is during covid, if a loved one was ill or in the hospital, in a nursing home, etc. their family members still had a way to contact them and see them. Video chats, text messages, phone calls. There’s also Life360 which is an app that you can keep track of family through and make sure they are okay at all times. One disadvantage though, is that with technology, comes hackers. Your personal information can be hacked and spread publicly if you aren’t super careful. Thankfully, most technology and applications make that super hard to do.

Post A response to this discussion;  In you response address at least the following:

Which aspects of your classmate’s analysis of diffusion of innovation concepts (applied to school mitigation) do you agree with and where do you diverge in your thinking about the strategy? This should be at least one idea you add to their response or a different point of view in 2-3 sentences. Your response should be substantive in that it directly addresses the content of your classmates’ response.

PLease Follow Directions you can use this as a reference; https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community/schools-childcare/k-12-childcare-guidance.html#anchor_1648820793946

I think that the easiest intervention to implement/maintain is cleaning. This is not a complex intervention and less complexity often makes it easier to implement and more likely for individuals to adopt it. It also has high trialability where it can easily be tried for a certain period so that potential adopters can see if it works for them before fully adopting the intervention.

Of the interventions mentioned, I think ventilation would be harder to implement and maintain. This may not be compatible with everyone. The schools may not have the funds or means to implement this intervention. It would also be more difficult to observe if it works and its outcomes. It also does not have the advantage of not being very complex and having trialability as cleaning does.

I would tell the CDC that when scaling the impact of mitigation strategies focus on magnitude and sustainability. Scaling magnitude is important in that they can focus on how to maximize the impact by making sure that it will work over larger scales and larger populations. This increases the impact that the strategy has on the community, population, and/or state. I also think that scaling sustainability is important. Making sure that the mitigation strategies are reliable and can be used successfully and effectively for long periods will help maximize the success of the intervention.

I remember learning about the Diffusion of Innovation Theory last semester in my health behavior theory class, so I was already familiar with the ideas in our reading. However, I had not learned about scaling impact. It was interesting to learn the different ways of scaling impact (magnitude, sustainability, variety, and equity) and I feel like the authors did a great job at providing examples that were easy to understand and helped paint the picture of how each can impact intervention success and implementation. All of what we learned about scaling impact was new to me, but with the authors using their apple orchard example, I feel like I was able to comprehend the information pretty well.

[Solved] Even Acquire Covid Vaccination

[Solved] Even Acquire Covid Vaccination

In you response address at least the following:

Which aspects of your classmate’s analysis of diffusion of innovation concepts (applied to school mitigation) do you agree with and where do you diverge in your thinking about the strategy? This should be at least one idea you add to their response or a different point of view in 2-3 sentences. Your response should be substantive in that it directly addresses the content of your classmates’ response.

Respond to this post;

  1. After reviewing the five main mitigation strategies proposed to reduce the spread of COVID, I believe that staying up to date on vaccinations, will be more difficult to implement. The easiest implementation strategy would be staying home when sick. I argue that implementing up to date vaccination would prove to be more difficult due to various system norms influenced by opinion leadership. The COVID vaccine in the United States has been politicized and has contributed to hesitancy and mistrust among the American public. The vaccine, despite its recent equitable accessibility, is not sought out by everyone and is optional for underage students. The decision to take the vaccine is surround by the permission of parents who are influenced by leaders of their communities (in a formal and informal position). The conformity to the norms of their unique communities will dictate the willingness to stay up to date or even acquire COVID vaccination Moreover, staying home when sick is more likely to be perceived with having greater advantage, making it less difficult to implement. This strategy is encouraged by promoting the well-being of others, by stopping the spread, but it also comes with applicable laws that provide non-punitive and supportive paid sick leaves. The adoption rate for this strategy would be more likely due to characteristics like, avoiding language that penalizes or stigmatizes staying home when sick, this reassures employees and families.

2.  To promote the scaling of COVID mitigation strategies, I recommend scaling the variety of impact. By focusing the efforts on community health and scaling out, the variety of these strategies will offer different ways of impact. The community is able to make decisions about which prevention strategies are more suited for their needs, because there are multiple options available. Communities will thrive with the diversification and promotion of equitable strategies

3. Something new that I learn is how interchangeably technology and innovations can be applied in this context. Both words are depicted as synonyms in the book (Diffusion of Innovations) and I will have to get used to the idea of their equal potential impact. I appreciate, however, that in the context of both words there is uncertainty in the mind of potential adopters. Innovation, personally has an approach that encapsulates a human aspect and has considerations like social impact. On the other hand, when I picture technological innovations I automatically picture its consequences.

[Solved] 1 1 –

[Solved] 1 1 –

  1. When taking care of patients, why do you think it is important to utilize the appropriate resources?
  2. How do you think evidence from nursing journals affects patient care?
  3. What role does using the right evidence play in being a professional nursing student?
  4. What role does understanding plagiarism and academic integrity play in being a professional nursing student?

APA format, with reference and citation within

Also reply to student below

  1. Taking care of patients is a lot of knowledge and skills. Nursing is one of the professions that demonstrates utmost care and humility while taking care of patients. When caring for a patient is very necessary for a nurse to utilize appropriate resources in the best way possible, because it is a life-or-death situation. Application of appropriate resources, skills, and knowledge, nursing professionals made it possible to improve the quality of patient care, decreasing medical errors and decreasing mortality rate.
  2. Most nurses use knowledge from journals to update their knowledge about patient care and nursing intervention. The knowledge and information learned from these journals are applied to evidence-based practice to improve the quality of life of the patients. The desired outcomes can only be achieved by implementing up-to-date knowledge.
  3. In the field of nursing, the concept of evidence-based practice is very essential. The evidence-based practice aims to impart the best effective care to the patients. In this way, patient health outcomes are improved. Evidence-based practices also advocate the use of relevant pieces of evidence while making decisions about patient interventions and decreasing variations in the healthcare system. Evidence-based practice is now widely recognized as the key to improving healthcare quality and patient outcomes (Chien, 2019).
  4. The nursing profession is a noble profession that serves humanity, based on respect, responsibility, knowledge, trust, and honesty. The issue of plagiarism plays well into the ethics of a professional nurse. Helping the student to understand the academic penalties of plagiarism is only one aspect. Nursing students must also understand the ethical and moral relationship between professionalism and plagiarism. However, plagiarism and academic misconduct will imply that the professional works with zero to no knowledge on a matter and puts in less commitment to better the health of the patients under them.
