[Solved] Healthcare Utilizing Current Researchpromptyour

Adventist Health

 Overview

The healthcare industry is impacted by economic factors as heavily as any other industry; therefore, a microeconomic and macroeconomic perspective is important for healthcare management professionals to have. The key is to determine what and how theories of economics and changes in legislation will impact healthcare organizations. Your assessment for this course, a policy research and organizational analysis report, is divided into two parts. The first is an analysis of microeconomic and macroeconomic principles and their impact on healthcare markets, healthcare service, and organizations. The first part will require you to apply the knowledge you have gained throughout this course, as well as to research current economic environments and legislative changes to gauge the impact on the healthcare industry. The second part will require you to apply the results of your analysis from the first part to a U.S.-based healthcare organization of your choice, as you discuss the impact of economic theories and legislative changes on the specific organization. You will make a few general recommendations for your selected organization that will help them plan for and mitigate negative economic and fiscal impact. These assessments will allow you to examine the relationships between economics, legislative changes and policies, healthcare industries, and individual organizations, a skill that will benefit you as you participate in the management of healthcare departments, organizations, and projects.

You will select an organization for your second assessment and use the following resources to ensure that you will have access to the healthcare organization’s financial information: DBHoovers, ProPublica, or American Hospital Directory. You will choose your organization in Milestone One for instructor approval.

This assessment addresses the following course outcomes:

  • Analyze how organizations utilize key microeconomic and macroeconomic principles to guide strategic planning and decision making in healthcare
  • Differentiate between nonprofit and for-profit healthcare organizations in terms of monetary and fiscal policy
  • Analyze healthcare financial statements through the application of demand theory and market behavior
  • Determine the impact of key economic legislative changes on healthcare policy
  • Analyze the relationship between economic policy and disparities in healthcare utilizing current research

Prompt

Your policy research and organizational analysis should answer the following prompt: What is the relationship between economic policy changes, the market, and availability of healthcare? How does this relationship impact specific organizations? Why do organizations in healthcare utilize economic and financial theories to guide strategic planning, and how do these actions impact disparities of care?

Specifically, the following critical elements must be addressed:

Milestones

Milestone One: Propose Organization for AnalysisIn Module Three, you will select the organization you would like to analyze in part two of the final project using the resources provided.. You will present your proposal to the instructor for approval to ensure that you will have access to sufficient financial information on the healthcare organization to complete the final project. This milestone is graded with the Milestone One Rubric.

Milestone Two: Policy ResearchIn Module Five, you will submit a draft of your policy research report. You will apply the knowledge you have gained through the first half of the course, as well as research current economic environments and legislative changes, to gauge the impact on the healthcare industry through this report. This milestone is graded with the Milestone Two Rubric.

*****TOPIC: In person classes vs online classes******

For this essay, you will write at least 1000 words (no more than 1300 words) in which you compare or contrast two things. This essay follows a traditional format, and thus it should include an introduction (1 paragraph), a body (3-4 paragraphs), and a conclusion (1 paragraph). Your body paragraphs should provide adequate support to prove your thesis statement. In addition, the support in the body paragraphs should be specific and concrete.

Furthermore, your paragraphs should have a logical flow and use transitions to aid in that flow.

Your essay should:

  • use at least 2 concrete, vivid examples in EACH body paragraph. (Use specific, vivid details that show instead of tell.)
  • have a clear, well-written thesis statement, located in the introduction.
  • have a hook in the introduction.
  • have 2-4 body paragraphs that support and prove your thesis.
  • have a conclusion paragraph.
  • use transitions correctly and effectively.
  • be logically organized (according to one of the two patterns for this type of essay).

[Solved] Available · Article Title

[Solved] Available · Article Title

1) Place a heading at the top of your page to include:

  • Your Name
  • Course Title
  • Professor’s Name
  • Assignment Title
  • Today’s Date

2) Name your topic. For example, Iron Work. (See Step 1 if you have forgotten your topic.)

3) Locate Your Sources :

  • 1 scholarly journal article (This is from Step 1.)
  • 1 internet article (This is from Step 2.)

4) Provide the following for your internet article so that both you and your professor can find it.

·  author (if available)

·  article title

·  website title

·  link – Use the Stable URL provided on JSTOR and EBSCO sites. For the internet article, where available, provide a Stable URL.

5) Using the skills that you have learned, evaluate the bias in each of your sources. Explain your evaluation using the following as guides:

  • How biased does the article appear?
  • What makes you think this?
  • Be sure that you are addressing bias, rather than focus. An article about English settlers in 18th century New England is not biased just because it is about English settlers. Bias is slant or a prejudice in favor of one side or another.
  • It is possible that you will have an article that has so little bias that it is not apparent at all. Simply state that the article appears balanced, or that bias is not apparent, and explain why you think so.

Each article should look like this:

Author: Mara Hvistendahl

Article Title: Rebuilding a Treasure Ship

Journal Title: Archaeology

Link: http://ezproxy.umgc.edu/login?url=https://www.jstor.org/stable/41780343

Bias

Overall. This article is well balanced. The focus is China, so it is understandable that the author would not mention the rest of world. However, the practice of using history to shape a positive view of the present is very common in humain cultures. It is also common for leaders to get that history wrong-intentionally or otherwise. Not mentioning this does make it appear that China is unique in this practice. That is the only apparent bias.

6) Use the rubric at the end of Submit Your Assignment as a checklist while you work and again before you turn it in.

Assignments must be submitted as a Word document. This means that the file name will end in .doc or .docx as in the following example: Johnson_Step_5.doc.

7) When you have completed and proofread your work, submit your work for feedback and grading as a .doc or .docx.

PSY 328 Project One Milestone Guidelines and RubricOverview

As you can see, each theory makes certain assumptions about the origins of personality. Depending on the theory, the focus can be on unconscious motivators, unmet needs, social forces, acceptance by your parents, biology, or your predominant tendencies or traits. If you find yourself following only one particular theory or approach, you might develop tunnel vision. You might miss observations, inferences, and conclusions that don’t fit the assumptions of your chosen theory. That is why it is important to be aware of more than one theory, while acknowledging how they compare and contrast. Understanding the differences between theories will allow you to acknowledge the strengths and weaknesses of each theory. It will also allow you to think of the person on different levels.

For this assignment, you will compare and contrast two personality theories or approaches from the personality theory list. For example, humanistic psychology and psychoanalytic theory are almost polar opposites so these are easier to contrast, yet there are some commonalities, too. The choice of which two personalities or approaches to compare is up to you. This milestone prepares you for Project One, due in Module Six.

Personality Theories and Approaches

  • Humanistic psychology
  • Psychoanalytic theory
  • Neo-Freudian/object relations theory
  • Trait approach
  • Biological perspective
  • Motivation

Prompt

To begin your milestone, first select two personality theories from the list provided that you think contrast in meaningful ways. Next, use your Project One Milestone Template Word Document to address the following rubric criteria:

  1. Identify which two theories or approaches you will compare and contrast and explain why you chose them. Your response should be about 2 to 4 sentences.
  2. Describe how your two chosen theories differ by selecting 3 topics from A through G below. Your response for each topic should be about 3 to 5 sentences.
    1. Scientific nature
      • Do the theories you selected differ on their scientific nature? Is one theory more scientific? Consider the techniques used to collect information and devise theories.
      • Justify your response.
    2. Nature versus nurture
      • Do the theories you selected differ on the roles of nature versus nurture? Does one theory favor one role to a greater degree than the other? Or is one more neutral in regard to the role of nature and nurture?
      • Justify your response.
    3. Origin of problems
      • Do the theories you selected differ in their determination of the origin of mental health or adjustment issues?
      • Justify your response.
    4. Pathology
      • Do the theories you selected differ in the emphasis on the pathology of problems versus focusing on thriving and finding meaning in life? Or is one theory more neutral on the role of pathology versus thriving?
      • Justify your response.
    5. Free will
      • Do the theories you selected differ on the role of free will? Does one theory do a better job of conveying that people have free will to become the person they wish to be?
      • Justify your response.
    6. Environmental influences
      • Do the theories you selected differ on the role of environmental influences? If both theories take environmental factors into consideration, how do they do so differently?
      • Justify your response.
    7. Internal versus external stimuli
      • Do the theories you selected favor the role of internal or external stimuli more? Do they define behavior as more active or reactive?
      • Justify your response.
  3. Describe at least one similarity between your two selected theories. Your response should be about 3 to 5 sentences.

[Solved] Psy 328 Module Four

[Solved] Psy 328 Module Four

PSY 328 Module Four Journal Guidelines and RubricOverview

As Abraham Maslow said in The Psychology of Science: A Reconnaissance, “I suppose it is tempting, if the only tool you have is a hammer, to treat everything as if it were a nail” (1966). In previous modules, we have learned about psychoanalysis, the new wave of psychoanalysis, and the trait tradition. In this module, we have learned about the humanistic approach. This approach challenges a potential cognitive bias in psychoanalysis that treats behavior as pathology, or something that can be diagnosed and treated. For this journal, we will step outside of the pathology lens on behavior and focus on the role of happiness, self-improvement, and compassion.

Prompt

For your journal, use the Module Four Journal Template Word Document to answer the following questions in about 2 to 5 sentences each. Specifically, you must address the following rubric criteria:

  • Analyzing Theory
    • Describe how humanism differs from the personality theories you have studied so far.
    • Explain the role of nature and nurture in the humanistic approach.
    • Describe the role of emotional intelligence in the humanistic approach.
  • Applying Theory to Society
    • Explain the role of systemic issues in society, such as a lack of equity, access, or opportunity in the hierarchy of needs.
    • The final course in your degree program will challenge you to think about your role as an agent of social change. Explain how the humanistic approach generally, or Maslow’s hierarchy specifically, relates to your initial thoughts about being an agent of social change in your community. You can think about how humanism influences your approach to systemic issues or the role that being an agent of social change has on your views of self-actualization.
    • Locate and summarize one external article that investigates limitations of Maslow’s hierarchy and systemic issues in society.
  • Applying Theory to Self
    • Thinking about the top of Maslow’s hierarchy, explain what self-actualization means for you. You can focus your answer as narrowly or holistically to your life experience as you would like. Consider what role school or your career has on your answer. Does success in those areas help you achieve self-actualization? Is it something else?
