[Solved] Corporate Social Responsibility

[Solved] Corporate Social Responsibility

Instructions

For this assignment, select a specific business; it can be one you work for or, better yet, one you would like to work for in the future. Make sure the company you select meets the following criteria: It must have a written code of ethics and operate at the benevolent level of CSR (corporate social responsibility).

Search online for the company’s website, and review its code of ethics and its report on its corporate social responsibility programs; be sure to identify any of its sustainability practices—this may be a separate link.

Write a report on your chosen company’s code of ethics and CSR. In your report, address whether you believe that leaders of organizations have a duty to all stakeholders or just to stockholders. Present a business argument either for or against corporate social responsibility.

Be sure to include an introduction. Your report must be at least two pages in length, not counting the title or reference pages. Adhere to APA Style when constructing this assignment, including in-text citations and references for all sources that are used. Please note that no abstract is needed.

[Solved] Instructionsargumentative Paperthe State Workers

Instructions

Argumentative Paper

The state workers’ compensation board that governs workers’ compensation for the state that your company resides and performs all of its business in, has decided to reject the four exceptions to the governing classification and single enterprise rule in your state.

Understanding this is a very big issue, your company’s legal team has elicited your help to write an argumentative paper that will be presented to the workers’ compensation board during the public hearings scheduled for next week.

Compose a paper that defends the following list:

the Standard Exception classifications,

the Interchange of Labor rules,

the General Exclusion classes, and

the use of the Multiple Enterprise rule.

The legal department is depending on you to ensure that to help the board understand why the rejection of these exceptions would be so detrimental to your business. Make sure you argue your points based on a company with 8,000-plus employees, within seven different manufacturing sites and two major administrative buildings that are separated geographically from the plants. Your EMR for the trailing 36-month period is 0.94 and the gross revenue for your company is $1.3 billion.

Your paper must be a minimum of three pages (not including the title and reference page) and include at least two academic resources. Adhere to APA Style when constructing this assignment, including in-text citations and references for all sources that are used. Please include an abstract that summarizes the key points of your defense and/or argument.

Hinduism

Answer the following two essay questions. The essays must be at least 500 words in length.

  1. The role of women has been a prominent and persistent feature of Hinduism throughout this course. Pārvatī asserting her independence and power apart from Śiva (in the Birth of Gaṇeśa story from the Śiva Purāṇa and in the Kumarasambhava), to Sītā’s trial-by-fire in the Rāmāyaṇa, and the role they have played in modern Hindu reform movements (see textbook by Knott) are some prominent examples. Because of this, women have had a seminal position in the Hindu tradition throughout its long history. Drawing on concrete examples we have explored in class (readings, textbook, lectures, Powerpoints, films, etc.), discuss and assess the varying roles women have played in the literature, traditions, and development of Hinduism.

2. The films “Sant Tukaram” and “Devi” were created in the early or mid-20th century. The first was created during the Colonial Period in 1937 and focused on a 17th century Bhakti (devotional) movement. The film also celebrated how devotion can transcend the rigidity of traditional caste laws. The second film, “Devi,” was made in the post-Colonial Period (i.e., after 1947) and is critical of Hindu beliefs. The film is set in the 19th century focuses on the manifestation of the goddess Kālī in a young girl named Doya. The film also explores both the public and family dynamics of this formalized devotion to a living being. Using reading material textbook, articles, lectures, etc., discuss whether these films reflect living Hindu tradition, both past and present. Taken together, how do these two films help shape or broaden your understanding of Hinduism? Make sure to bring up concrete examples from the films (clip references) when writing your essay.

[Solved] Article Seem Less Authoritative

I need an introduction to research and research questions.

Applying Course Concepts

Citing the required course readings for this week and at least 1 additional, peer-reviewed source (in addition to the Bible), address the following concepts:

Ethical Concerns:

  • What are some general ethical concerns that must be considered when conducting research?
  • What does Scripture say specifically about the Christians’ responsibility to act ethically toward his fellow man?

Practical Application:

  • Research a current newspaper or popular-press magazine article that cites some sort of data. Explain how data support the message of the article. Would the article seem less authoritative without the data? Were the analyses descriptive or inferential? Provide a link to the article you discuss.
  • Discuss why statistics is important to public policy.
  • Based on the requirements laid out in O’Sullivan et al. Chapter 1, develop a research question in some area of public policy that interests you. Explain why your question meets the two criteria for a good research question.

Research Topic

Review the list of possible research questions found in the Resources section.

List, in order of preference, your top three research question choices from the list (do not simply list numbers — write out the questions).

You will be assigned 1 of the 3 selected questions.  The assigned question will then be used in Discussion: Research Paper Development and People Research, Research Paper: Annotated Bibliography Assignment, and the Research Paper: Final Paper Assignment.

Hopefully you can get me a quote from the first chapter of these two sources

[Solved] Society Could Function Pretty

[Solved] Society Could Function Pretty

I need a discussion paper.

In this module, you have been introduced to the economic foundations for the study of government policy through an overview of the fundamental economic concepts of scarcity, opportunity cost, marginality, and the division of labor. Consider the following dilemmas:

  1. NBA basketball players make far more than elementary school teachers. Yet teachers give students the basic tools for success in life, including literacy, organizational and learning skills, and mathematical competency. Basketball players provide a particular form of entertainment without which our society could function pretty well. Explain why the wages of these two kinds of workers don’t reflect their total value to society, referencing the assigned textbook readings and/or websites.
  2. From an ethical standpoint, is it inappropriate that teachers (and police officers, firefighters, EMT workers, etc.) get paid so little compared to professional athletes, actors, or corporate CEOs? Explain your answer from a Christian perspective.

[Solved] Many 19Th Century Writers

[Solved] Many 19Th Century Writers

  • Many 19th century writers developed ideas that still influence us today. For example, in November, 2018 ,one of the worst factory accidents in history happened in a chemical plant in China. At least 23 people were killed; harsh evidence that workers in China’s vast industrial sector are still prey to great dangers, even in relatively new plants.
  • 19th Century German philosopher, economist, historian, sociologist, political theorist, journalist and socialist revolutionary Karl Marx might have predicted this would happen.
  • In addition, many of the events of the 19th century, like the Civil War or the development of photography still have an impact on our lives today.
  • Choose one 19th century thinker or a 19th century event and explain, in at least 500 words, how you see its continuing relevance.

Note: the 19th century, covers the years from 1800-1899.
