[Solved] Think Jose Behaved Morally

[Solved] Think Jose Behaved Morally

Jose works as a mechanic at a Honda dealership. His garage is closed on Sundays and at the end of his shift on Saturday he “borrows” a Honda scanner that checks service codes. On Sunday, he uses the scanner while performing a job for a friend of a friend. He gets to work early on Monday and returns the scanner before anyone else arrives. The scanner isn’t damaged at all. Fully explain and apply Kantianism to this particular situation. Was it OK for Jose to steal and return the scanner? Describe how Kantian ethics works in general and address factors that would be important according to this view. Do you think Jose behaved morally? Justify your own view. Write 2-3 paragraphs. Begin typing your answer below.

[Solved] Z Scores Chapter 6

[Solved] Z Scores Chapter 6

This week, we will cover normal distributions, standard scores, and distances from the mean. As you’ll read in your text, the normal curve encompasses all scores in a distribution, it’s symmetrical, and it’s where the mean, median, and mode all equal one another. For example, normal curves are commonly used to standardize intelligence by giving participants an IQ test and finding their score based on how they compare to everyone else their same age in the distribution.

  1. Think of a scenario where the distribution is not normally distributed. How would this affect the shape and characteristics of the distribution, and what implications would it have for interpreting probability values?
  2. We can convert any normal distribution into the standard normal distribution to find probability. In hypothesis testing, z-values are often used to determine statistical significance. Discuss the relationship between statistical significance, sample size, and the use of z-values in hypothesis testing.

omplete the following readings from your textbook, Essentials of Statistics for the Behavioral Sciences:

  • Chapter 5: z scores
  • Chapter 6: Probability
  • Chapter 7: Probability and Samples

To get started on your final Key Assignment, you will select a global company and begin working to create an internal communication plan for that company. Each week’s assignment will be iterative, helping you research and start to develop a workplace communication plan. You will use research to study your selected company and design an internal communication plan. You may select a company that you are interested in, or choose one from this list of top global companies in the following link: http://money.cnn.com/magazines/fortune/global500/2011/.

You have been assigned to a global work team tasked with creating a strategic internal employee communications plan for your workplace. Before the team can get started, you must examine the workplace to identify what the overall strategy must cover. Consider the following when brainstorming your communication strategy:

  • Sketch out your understanding of communication with a visual map.
  • Determine the best platforms for communication (virtual or face-to-face).
  • Develop at least 3 advantages and 3 disadvantages of electronic and in-person communication.
  • Compare and contrast 2 written and oral communication methods.

Provide 1–2 sources other than your textbook to support your answer. Use APA style for citations.

Edit your plan based on any instructor or collegial feedback from Week 4. Proof and finalize the plan. It should include the following information:

  • Company synopsis: This is a snapshot of the company, what it sells, and the number of employees.
  • Management’s philosophy on employee communication: An example of a management philosophy could be that any important communication about the company’s activities are shared internally before being shared externally on the Internet or in a news release.
  • Goals of the communication plan: One possible goal could be to help employees be more productive by establishing a clear and effective employee communication plan. The plan can be viewed as an organizational diagnostic that provides employees with consistent, accurate, and regular information about the company’s business goals and objectives.
  • Target audience characteristics: The plan should take into account cultural, gender, and linguistic differences to help employees understand the goals of the organization.
  • Communication tools: These can include various deliverables, including e-mails, newsletters, e-blasts, brochures, reports, conferences, employee meetings, and more.
  • Communication channels: Communication channels include internal and external Web sites, public relations venues, visits or speeches from management, and more.

This week, add the following sections to your final plan:

  • Review the evaluation methods for your plan. How will you communicate results to management on a regular basis? Consider a monthly report, management briefings, updates, and a yearly summary for board presentations.
  • Describe how you plan to deal with the negative emotions (from employees or other audience groups) that often accompany bad news or other information.

Finally, prepare the opening of the oral presentation that will describe your completed plan to management.

Presentation Notes

In your presentation notes, add 1 strategy for each of the following:

  • Reading the emotions of management: What to look for and how to respond
  • Dealing with any negative responses or emotions to the plan: Ways to resolve any possible conflict in the meeting
  • Finding approval for the plan: Continuing the meeting by moving past any negative emotions (resulting in a win-win for everyone involved)

Add your presentation notes to the end of the plan.

Provide 5–6 sources other than your textbook to support your answer. Use APA style for citations.

The materials found in the MUSE may help you with this assignment such as the presentation Emotions in Communication

[Solved] Biggest Talking Points Relating

[Solved] Biggest Talking Points Relating

Healthcare reform is a constantly discussed topic in the U.S. healthcare system. Various influences, including political, societal, and real-time events (think COVID-19) all help to shape the discussion surrounding reform as it relates to the U.S. healthcare system. This link contains a tracker of all pending or introduced reform legislation currently.

Among the biggest talking points relating to the healthcare reform discussion over the past decade has been the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and whether it should remain as it is, be improved upon, or be dismantled and a new system put in its place. Review the most current attempt at modifications to the ACA in this link.

  • Do you feel that the ACA should be left alone as it is, be kept in place and improved upon, or be removed completely and a new set of legislation put in its place?
  • Discuss your reasoning for your conclusion, and why or how it can be accomplished.

[Solved] Past Several Decades

[Solved] Past Several Decades

Healthcare spending in the United States has continued to increase over the past several decades at a rate that far exceeds that of other nations. People have seen these increases on everything, from the cost of insurance premiums going up, to the costs of drug prices and office visits increasing. To familiarize yourself with some of the many areas and ways costs and spending are increasing, please review the NHE fact sheet.

  • Discuss 1 area that you or someone close to you have seen these increases in costs.
  • Examine these increased costs from the perspective of the leader of a healthcare organization. Consider the following:
    • Why do you feel there was an increase in the cost?
    • What, if anything, could have been done to react to the rise in costs and decrease their impact on the organization?
    • What can the organization do to help avoid these increases in the future?
