These chapters for this week have helped me to understand this stage of life much better, and have, consequently, helped deepen my insight into what a few of my clients are facing in their current struggles. It’s interesting to read about stages of life and then to see them play out in people you know that are part of those age/stage groups. Obviously, they are expressed differently, but there is an overall theme, and I am grateful to have a greater understanding of those themes, especially because I lack experience in the middle-adulthood stage. Both of my clients in their 50s are struggling with ways to feel they are contributing to society and feeling, what I can imagine now, some sort of stagnation as they re-evaluate their lives. One is in a fulfilling marriage, and one is on the brink of divorce, but it’s very interesting how they are struggling with similar issues and have decided that this is the time for them to start therapy. They decided they need help to process through different parts of their lives they have experienced and help in continuing to ensure they are living a healthy life. I can imagine it’s because, like I said, they are re-evaluating their lives and determining whether it is “successful”. One of them is a nurse who is a great mentor to other nurses and the other started a non-profit for the betterment of her community, and this just goes to show their desires to care for their society and have generativity. It’s kind of interesting too because I’m trying to help teach both of them differentiation of self as they are definitely not self-absorbed individuals, though they may very well think they are!

New-Horizon company has a four-story office building in the city. There are four offices in that building.  In each office, there will be

  • 25 desktop computers
  • 10 portable/laptop computers and need a wireless connection (WiFi)
  • One network printer for all employees in each section.
  • All office computers must have access to the network 

So, there are four local area networks in the building.

You should be developing and drawing network diagrams. Your name and the company name must be written on each diagram. You should label all network devices in your diagrams.

Question 1: 

Develop and draw a network diagram of LOCAL AREA NETWORK for one Office Section only. You will be presenting only one of the LANs in the building. Draw only one LAN considering one of the offices in the main building.

Question 2: 

Draw the block diagram for INTRANET to connect all LANs in the main building. All computers in the main building will be connected to each other with this network. There is one database for customer all transactions. All computers in the main building should have access to this database.  This is your Backbone Network Diagram.

Here you should represent all LANs by using a simplified LAN diagram that was covered during the virtual class.

Scenario

You work as the chief supply-chain officer at the large international corporation, NationaliTeas. NationaliTeas manufactures and sells tea worldwide. Its motto is “Keeping people and their taste buds awake (when they want to be awake).” Its mission is “Make the world more awake through rejuvenating and refreshing beverages and sustainable practices that uplift workers, communities, and souls.” Its vision is “to be the most respected tea manufacturer across at least three continents for our tea and our actions, which will be driven by a commitment ethical sourcing, minimal waste, and empowerment of our employees.”

You would like to establish an operational goal of having your corporation apply for a B Corp Certification within the next two years. You believe this would add value to the organization and help it to prioritize a stronger focus on sustainable operational practices. You have conducted a preassesment based on the recommendations for applying for B Corp Certification, and you’ve evaluated the corporation’s current strengths and areas for improvement.

Now you need to develop a proposal for the board of directors that explains why prioritizing the triple bottom line (TBL) through working toward B Corp Certification has organizational value.
