[Solved] Strictly Enforcing Parking Rules

[Solved] Strictly Enforcing Parking Rules

Imagine that you are the head of the Public Safety Department at your college. Faculty and staff have been parking illegally, sometimes where there aren’t parking spots. Sometimes the individuals without handicaps are parking in spots reserved for those with handicaps. Write two memos to all college employees announcing that, beginning next week, the Public Safety Department will be strictly enforcing parking rules–something it hasn’t been doing. Write the first memo in a friendly voice and the second in a stern voice. Then compare the specific differences in organization, sentence structure, word choice, and other features of writing to create each voice.

  2. What are the main agenda items for negotiation? Which items would be the highest priority for each side? What issues will be toughest for Myers to resolve?
  3. What is each respective side’s bargaining position? In other words, what are their points of leverage?
  4. What are viable alternatives to each of these groups’ interests (their BATNA-Best Alternative to Negotiated Agreement)? Does each group have a relatively favorable BATNA?

[Solved] Least 2 Specific Lessons

[Solved] Least 2 Specific Lessons

As we explore history I always desire to have students look at the past and apply it to their lives.  This class isn’t just about learning history but rather it is about using history.  The ultimate purpose of this class is to help each one of you grow in your faith by using the lessons of history.  So your term project is tied to that specific purpose.

Topic: How have you used the historical lessons we have covered in class to grow closer to the Lord?  How have you used the lessons to impact your friends, family, and/or community?

You will need to identify at least 2 specific lessons and their real-world application.  They must come from different historical periods.  With each you need to identify a lesson you have learned, explore the historical context of that lesson, and explore the ways in which that lesson has helped you grow in your faith and impacted others by using specific events/encounters/instances.

Please note that the application isn’t what you have done previously in your life or what you will do in the future but rather what you have done during the time of this class.  I want this class to embolden you to act, to fulfill its purpose.  Also, this isn’t about how you relate but rather what specific actions you have taken and the specific incidents you note where the life lesson was applied.

[Solved] Least 3 Academic References

Advocacy is one of the eight Areas of Responsibility of Health Educators. There are multiple components of successful advocacy, one of which is the ability to develop persuasive messages and materials in order to help bring about policy and systemic changes. Everyone has the right to advocate. As a future public health practitioner and health educator, you are in a unique role to better understand the issues affecting health in your community. As such, you are in an important position to advocate for needed changes. Read the following article, https://www.apha.org/-/media/Files/PDF/advocacy/Power_of_Advocacy.ashx

to learn more about why your voice can help bring about necessary changes so we are able to improve health outcomes for all, but most importantly, close health disparities and help the most vulnerable among us.

Select a child & adolescent health issue that you want to focus on. Find your local or US legislator’s name and address. Read what committees they serve on and what past legislation relevant to your topic they have written or co-sponsored. Select one policy or piece of legislation related to your topic on the community, state, or federal level (preferably at the local or state level).

You will write a letter to your legislator expressing support or encouraging them to vote against the proposed legislation/policy. In this letter, you will include the rationale for your viewpoint. You must remain objective when presenting the facts. The following resources will help you write the letter:

https://www.apa.org/advocacy/guide/letter-email

https://www.apa.org/advocacy/guide/sample-letters.pdf

https://www.apha.org/Policies-and-Advocacy/Advocacy-for-Public-Health/Letters-to-Congress-and-federal-agencies

Follow a similar structure. Address your legislator, identify yourself, present the facts, and state clearly what you want/what you’re advocating for. Make sure the message is clear, concise, and compelling. Frame the message to answer the question, “So what?”. And present yourself as an expert resource and provide examples from your community.

You must include at least 3 academic references to support your work. Your letter should be between 1-1.5 pages long. I’m looking for a well-written, factual, and persuasive letter.

The Pythagorean Theorem can be used in so many different ways. You can use it for architecture, navigation, and surveying. The most common out of the three is architecture! We can use Pythagorean Theorem with architecture to figure out how we need to build a certain part of a building or part. Sciencing gave a great example of a slanted roof, we can use Pythagorean Theorem to find the diagonal part with the knowledge of knowing the other two pieces. You can also try to make sure the buildings are perfectly aligned with one another by using this formula! By making sure the foundation is right and aligned to each corner of the walls, they can figure out they made each building in the perfect place.
