WRITING CHECKLIST

Citations and References

Business Case:   

Red&Blue Travel is a multinational traveling agency. 

Red&Blue Travel provides custom-tailored trips, personalized recommendations, detailed knowledge of destinations, exclusive deals, and amenities as well. The company is growing rapidly. There is an increasing business emphasis on Web service, remote access, online transactions, and social networking. And, there is a demand for services to support high-resolution camera phones, video streams, and high-end audio.

The CEO would like to combine traditionally distinct voice, video, and data communications networks into a common infrastructure. And, he focuses on the integration of real-time communication services as well.  Consider the case where three separate communication mediums are existing, one for voice, one for video, and one for the data communications network.

The Parameters of Red&Blue Travel: 

150 Employees in three different cities (London, New York, and Dubai). There is a need for real-time collaboration among all team members. And, there will be direct communication with the suppliers (Business to Business Communication) as well.

Question 1- Explain the Business Benefits of IP Network Convergence for Red&Blue Travel. Why they should consider IP Network Convergence?

Question  2- The possible management Issues you would anticipate when the new IT system is implemented.

Question  3 – What Type of Network you would recommend connecting all employees?

Course Outcomes

In this project, you will demonstrate your mastery of the following course outcomes:

Overview

This course explores globalization and its impact on the world around us. Globalization influences society and society influences globalization, creating a feedback loop between them. You will critically analyze a feedback loop in this project through social, historical, and theoretical approaches to global society as well as the four general education lenses: history, humanities, natural and applied sciences, and social sciences. From this enhanced understanding, you will be equipped to draw connections between global society, self, and engagement with your community. These skills are often necessary to achieve personal and professional goals across many disciplines.

Directions

For this project, you will write a 10-page paper that examines your chosen research topic and how it affects individuals and society. In the paper, you will describe your topic, present a thesis statement, perform a critical analysis, and reflect on how your topic informs your personal life and experience. You will demonstrate your ability to think critically, investigate, and communicate clearly.

Specifically, you must address the following rubric criteria:

1. Evidence: You will use evidence to support your analysis throughout the project.
   1. Integrate reliable evidence from varied sources throughout your paper to support your analysis. Use at least two resources from the module resources sections of this course and two resources that you find through your own research using the Shapiro Library.
      1. It is important to draw from a more diverse pool of perspectives from varied sources to support the analysis, which is different from the Citations and Attributions rubric criterion.
      2. Reliable evidence from varied sources should be interwoven throughout the paper itself. Citing and attributing sources will be represented as APA in-text citations and a reference list at the end of your work.
      3. You will be evaluated on both criteria.
2. Topic Description: In this section, you will identify and discuss the factors that shape your thesis statement.
   1. Describe a social or global issue/event related to issues of globalization. Include information such as the origin of the issue and what it is about.
   2. Describe a population significant to your topic. Include information such as demographics, cultural practices, social identity, and key challenges.
   3. Assess how society impacts the chosen issue or event.
   4. Explain your choice of general education interdisciplinary lens for analyzing your topic.
   5. Construct a thesis statement that combines your topic, population, cultural situation, and choice of general education interdisciplinary lens.
3. Critical Analysis: In this section, you will analyze your topic using one of the general education lenses and recommend strategies for using this kind of analysis to meet your personal and professional goals.
   1. Analyze your chosen issue or event through one of the general education interdisciplinary lenses to determine its impact on various institutions.
   2. Analyze how social practices have been shaped by issues and events in globalization in modern culture.
   3. Describe at least one specific element that could benefit from change within your topic.
   4. Explain how at least one potential obstacle could interfere with the population’s engagement with your topic.
   5. Assess at least two significant factors that could impact your topic, such as biases, beliefs, assumptions, and/or values.
   6. Assess the benefits and challenges of addressing issues in globalization.
   7. Recommend strategies for using this kind of critical analysis for meeting your personal and professional goals.
      1. What might this look like in your everyday life? Consider how globalization can be used to address the day-to-day responsibilities or questions faced by practitioners in your field or discipline.
4. Reflection: In this section, you will describe how using critical analysis tools influences your personal experience, your field of study or profession, how you interact with others.
   1. Describe how critically analyzing your issue/event in globalization has informed your individual framework of perception.
      1. Consider how it has altered the way you perceive the community around you and/or the world.
   2. Describe how examining your bias has altered the way you perceive the world.
      1. Reflect on your own bias and then consider how an awareness of one’s bias can change our perceptions.
   3. Explain how critically analyzing globalization can influence your field of study or profession.
      1. How can studying globalization inform your understanding of the next big topic of study in your filed or profession?
   4. Explain at least one way in which your analysis might have been different if you had used one of the the other general education lenses to analyze your topic.
   5. Explain how analyzing globalization can help interactions with people with a different viewpoint, culture, or perspective.

What to Submit

To complete this project, you must submit a Word document of 10 pages in length (plus a reference page) with 12-point Times New Roman font, double spacing, and one-inch margins. Use at least two resources from course materials and two resources from the library. Sources should be cited according to APA style. Consult the Shapiro Library APA Style Guide for more information on citations.

 There are many ways of using standardized financial information beyond those discussed in this unit. The usual goal is to put firms on an equal footing for comparison purposes. For example, for auto manufacturers, it is common to express sales, costs, and profits on a per-car basis. For each of the following industries, give an example of an actual company, and discuss one or more potentially useful means of standardizing financial information:

1. public utilities,
2. large retailers,
3. airlines,
4. online services,
5. hospitals, and
6. college textbook publishers.

Once you identify the company for each industry, select a particular firm, and calculate four ratios of your choice for 2 consecutive years. Once computed, then provide a 2-year trend analysis. Finally, discuss whether you would or would not invest in this company, including an explanation of why that involves the ratio analysis.Your case study must be at least three pages in length. You must provide at least three references. Adhere to APA Style when constructing this assignment, including in-text citations and references for all sources that are used. Please note that no abstract is needed.
