[Solved] Searching Within Google Images

[Solved] Searching Within Google Images

Before we begin graphing systems of equations, a good starting point is to review our knowledge of 2-D graphs. These graphs are known as 2-D because they have two axes. Find an online image of a graph to use as the foundation of your discussion. (This is easily accomplished by searching within Google Images.)

Using your graph as the example:

  1. Select any two points on the graph and apply the slope formula, interpreting the result as a rate of change (units of measurement required); and
  2. Use rate of change (slope) to explain why your graph is linear (constant slope) or not linear (changing slopes).

Embed the graph into the post by copying and pasting into the discussion. You must cite the source of the image. Also be sure to show the computations used to determine slope.

[Solved] Paper Would Exceed Ten

[Solved] Paper Would Exceed Ten

Although experts disagree on the exact statistics, the rate of failure for new small businesses is significant. Also, even for established small businesses, the risks to success and survival are great and constantly changing in today’s market conditions. Using the information already presented in the course and resources similar to those below, we are asking you to compose a paper expressing what you believe to be the three greatest dangers to a small business and how you would address those problems as a small business owner/manager.

Instructions:

• Describe and discuss the dangers of small businesses.

• Identify the top three reasons YOU think small businesses struggle.

 • State your reasoning behind your selection of the issues.

• Present your ideas for dealing with those issues.

Requirements:

• Your paper should take the form of an academic research document and therefore be in proper APA form.

• It should have a clear introduction with a thesis, body, and conclusion.

• Focus on quality, as opposed to length.

• You should have clear transitions between paragraphs.

• There must be a minimum of three APA references (in addition to the course textbook.)

• The anticipated length of the paper should be a minimum of five pages with more thorough and thoughtful work extending beyond that guideline. It is not expected that the paper would exceed ten pages in length.

[Solved] Provide Better Patient Care

[Solved] Provide Better Patient Care

The Gallup Strengths Finder assessment has gained popularity as a tool for personal and professional development. According to a recent study published in the Journal of Career Assessment, the Strengths Finder assessment has been found to have strong psychometric properties and can reliably identify individuals’ strengths (Kaplan, Vacha-Haase, & Moghaddam, 2021). This suggests that the tool can be a useful resource for individuals looking to gain insight into their natural talents and abilities.

Effective leadership is crucial for organizational success, and recent research has identified several key qualities that contribute to good leadership. According to a study published in the Journal of Business Ethics, ethical leadership is positively associated with employee job satisfaction and organizational commitment (Kim & Beehr, 2021). The study found that ethical leadership, which involves fairness, honesty, and responsibility, can create a positive work environment that fosters employee loyalty and engagement.

In addition to ethical behavior, empathy has also been identified as a critical leadership skill. A recent article in Harvard Business Review suggests that empathy is the most important leadership skill, enabling leaders to connect with team members and develop strong relationships based on trust and mutual respect (Goleman, 2018). This can lead to greater collaboration and cooperation within teams, as well as increased job satisfaction and productivity.

Adaptability has become increasingly important in today’s rapidly changing business environment. A study published in the Journal of Applied Psychology found that leaders who are able to adapt their leadership style to different situations are more effective than those who rely on a single style (Chen, Kirkman, Kanfer, Allen, & Rosen, 2021). This suggests that the ability to be flexible and adapt to changing circumstances is a critical leadership skill in today’s business landscape.

Based on the StrengthsFinder report, my top five signature themes of talent are Relator, Positivity, Woo, Achiever, and Includer. My Relator theme suggests that I’m comfortable with intimacy and derive pleasure from being around close friends. My Positivity theme makes me generous with praise, always on the lookout for the positive in a situation, and able to inject drama into every project. My Woo theme implies that I enjoy meeting new people, initiating conversations, and building rapport. My Achiever theme explains my constant need for achievement and the internal fire that pushes me to do more. Finally, my Includer theme means that I actively avoid exclusive groups and want to expand the circle to include as many people as possible. By focusing on these signature themes, I can identify and build on my natural talents to achieve consistent, near-perfect performance and enjoy personal and career success.

The two characteristics that I would like to strengthen would be cultural competency and the ability to let go of tasks and learn to delegate to others.  In my current position as the charge nurse, I tend to see that something needs to be done and jump on it.  I have been called into the office and I’ve been told I need to stop with the extra tasks that I do because it takes away from what I should be doing and it’s the responsibility of other staff.  I look at it as we are a TEAM and that’s what I do.  With the cultural competency, I feel as though we can never be too familiar with the different cultures.  We have a wide variety of culture on our unit and I find that I learn new values and beliefs constantly.  I would like to be proficient in that area and know everything that I can about all cultures which I feel would help me provide better patient care now and in the future.

In conclusion, the Gallup Strengths Finder assessment can be a useful tool for personal and professional development, while ethical behavior, empathy, and adaptability are critical qualities of effective leadership. By focusing on these qualities, leaders can create a positive work environment that fosters employee loyalty, engagement, and productivity.

[Solved] Heading Topic Opiod

[Solved] Heading Topic Opiod

IDENTIFYING DATA

SK is a 19-year-old girl who has been addicted to opioids and lives in a community home where she tries to get drugs daily due to a high level of addiction. She considers there is a need to change her life since she dropped out of high school while being addicted to opioids.

CHIEF COMPLAINT: “I feel like I need to change my future while I can.”

HISTORY OF PRESENT ILLNESS

SK has been mainly affected by addiction to opioids since she could easily access medication like methadone, morphine, and oxycodone from her foster’s mothers work area as she worked as a nurse. The patient has been feeling lonely and desolate for the past 5 months when she noticed her quality of life becoming worse each day. Today, she came to the clinic accompanied by her former high school classmate, who found her near a street drug store and noticed signs of attempting to break in. She denied any intent of breaking and entering the drugstore and further denied having suicidal ideation.

MEDICAL HISTORY

The patient has no clear explanation of her medical history since she did not live with her parents from age 10. From age 10, the patient has been abusing opioids which messed up her mental status. She only recalls that she could have been pregnant a year ago but is not sure about what happened to the pregnancy.

[Solved] Another Text Called Technical

[Solved] Another Text Called Technical

Continuing with our discussions of real world writing issues, I’d like us to go back to the question of ethics in business and technical writing.

Try to remember an ethical dilemma you had in a real situation involving writing perhaps in the workplace or in school. Describe that real situation and explain how you reacted to it. This situation should be one that actually happened, but if you cannot think of one in your own experience, you can describe one that you are certain happened to a colleague, friend or family member. It must be a situation that happened to someone you know well. It cannot be something that you read about.

After describing the issue, explain how you or your colleague dealt with the situation. If the experience happened to you, discuss if you would do anything differently now that you have some hindsight. Or if this ethical dilemma happened to someone you know well, explain if you would have done the same thing.

This description, explanation and analysis should be a minimum of 200 words.

Please remember that these ethical dilemmas do not have to be as tragic as the space shuttle Challenger O ring example from the chapter we read on business ethics, but they should have a writing component.

As another example, here is a ethical dilemma prompt from another text called Technical Communication (39):

“It is late April, and you need a summer job. On your town’s news website, you see an ad for a potential job. The only problem is that the ad specifically mentions that the job is ‘a continuing, full-time position.’ You know that you will be returning to college in the fall. Is it ethical for you to apply for the job without mentioning this fact? Why or why not? If you believe it is unethical to withhold that information, is there any ethical way you can apply?”

Do not write on this prompt, but you can use it as an example to help you think of an ethical writing dilemma you, or someone you know well, faced.

[Solved] First Two Posts

[Solved] First Two Posts

  • This is the 2nd part of the Discussion question!
  • Your second post will detail what you view as successes in the past up to 1965. In other words, what previous developments would your person recommend to develop an efficient, inclusive, sustainable community? Keep in mind that it is 1965. Your person is not aware of programs or technologies that occur after 1965. Show the historical evidence that leads your person to believe these historical developments should be used to create your new community.

This is what the professor wrote. Your second post should detail what is viewed as successes up to 1965 (those can be ranging items such as environment, progressivism, desegregation, urbanization, technology, etc). Remember- the key concept in these first two posts are laying the foundations for why your character would support or oppose these past developments.

[Solved] Mla Vs Apa Vs

[Solved] Mla Vs Apa Vs

In this class we spend a lot of time reading about and listening about and thinking about states in general. That includes thinking about the comparative method and how to compare and contrast states in meaningful ways that tell us something about the causes of their differences. We also spend some time looking specifically at Florida, which makes sense since our college is located in Florida and many of you either currently call the state home, or have done so in the past. In this assignment I would like to give you an opportunity to learn more about a state of your choosing, and then we will use the comparative method to ascertain differences between your chosen state and Florida and then try to explain the causes of those differences. Please note you CANNOT choose Washington, D.C. for this project as Washington D.C. is not a state. You can choose Washington state (i.e. the one up in the northwest) but please make sure you are actually describing Washington state and not Washington, D.C. if you choose to do that one. It’s probably best to avoid it altogether by choosing one of the other 48 states to compare to Florida.

The total paper should be a minimum of 2300 words. That is nine to eleven pages or so if you are double-spacing and using standard fonts, but it’s the word count that matters. This is a substantial assignment; for many of you it might be the longest paper you have yet written in college. The good news is that it’s a very structured assignment, and if you instead think of it as three smaller papers (see below) it is not nearly so intimidating!

Components of the Paper

There are essentially three components to this paper. Feel free to structure your paper in this order or in any other way you see fit:

1) Description of the government structure and politics of the state you have chosen.

2) Compare and contrast that state with the government and politics of Florida.

3) Explain why you think those differences exist – what are the root causes of them?

Section 1 – Description of Chosen State

This section is going to comprise the bulk of your paper. I would like you to describe for the reader (that’s me, in case you didn’t know) the following about your chosen state: how does it divide power among its three branches? Does it seem to have a particularly powerful governor or legislature? How does the legislature work? Are there term limits? How long do people serve for? Who holds the real power in the state? What is the partisan breakdown of the state? Does one party seem to win more often than another? What is the political culture of the state? How does its history seem to affect its current politics? Who are the major interest groups or economic sectors that power the economy of the state? What are the big issues currently in state politics there?

I would expect this part of the paper to be about two-thirds of the length of the paper in total and it’s mostly descriptive. I’m not really asking you to analyze much here. You’re gathering the information you’ll need for the next two sections.

Section 2 – Comparison with Florida

In this section of the paper I would like you compare your state with Florida on a number of dimensions: demographics, economics, government structure, political culture, important interest groups, and party balance. You’re not necessarily trying to explain the differences yet (that will be Section 3), but since there’s some overlap it’s also totally okay if you combined the two sections.

Section 3 – Explanation of Differences

In this section of the paper I would like you to hypothesize about the sources of the differences you found in Section 2. What might explain why your chosen state and Florida are different on these dimensions? Is it political culture? History? Geography? Demography? Climate? For this section I am grading you based on the plausibility of your analysis, along with the quality of any evidence you present for it.

Number of Sources

I am asked pretty much every semester some version of the question “how many sources does my paper need to have?” This is a weird question to me, since the honest answer is “how ever many you need to write a good paper”, but I get why students ask it. A little guidance is always a good thing. Let me say this, then. It would be very hard to do well on this paper with less than five academic sources (i.e. not Wikipedia, Investopedia, and other encyclopedic sources). You probably will want more than that, but at a minimum I’d be aiming for that. Once you hit five sources that doesn’t mean you are done doing research – if three of your sources are all about one part of the paper then you’re going to need more in total to write a compelling paper.

Citations/Plagiarism – Read this carefully

You should be using academic sources for this paper. That means that while you can consult Wikipedia as a start, you should be using additional sources, possibly including newspapers, scholarly books and journal articles and government websites. If you are going to use web-based sources, make sure (as always) to consider who the source of the website is. Are they credible? Do they have expertise? What’s their angle or bias? MAKE SURE TO USE IN-TEXT CITATIONS in your paper. I don’t particularly care what format they are (MLA vs APA vs Chicago vs SPEBSQSA – I might have made that one up) just so long as (a) you stay consistent in the paper and (b) I can figure out how to find each source myself if I so choose.

Remember that whenever you use someone’s idea, either in a direct quote or reworded yourself, you should use a citation. Using someone’s words or ideas without citation is PLAGIARISM and doing so will lead to a minimum of a zero on the paper and quite possibly failure of the class. Please include a Works Cited page IN ADDITION TO the in-text citations. Failure to do so will result in a 10% penalty.
